Just wanting some tips to get in some serious volume for 2013. I really struggle with sitting at my computer for time over 2 hours.
Any tips on how to properly get a grind on stars?

I don't play for more than 2 hours at a time. I like to have a break after every hour or so and maybe walk to the shop, or make coffee, do some reading. Doubt I'll ever hit supernova. Ha.

+1 on the do what benevg said. At the moment I'm grinding, and every 1-2 hours I take a break, tend to the fire, do some pressups, whatever.

I really struggle with volume a lot, not so much spending time with poker itself and reading or whatever. For example; I spend way more time browsing cardschat as opposed to grinding.. :/

Purely when I get to 2 hours; I've had enough and I'm wanting a break; winning or losing. No idea how people can grind literally for 8hours+ when playing 10tables+

~Having said all that; if I playing a MTT and like casually 2 tables I can sit for hours on end.

I think grinding for 2hours is perfectly fine, if you do it in sessions and can split it up over the course of a day, maybe 4hours total. This will get some volume in if you're playing a few tables.

GL.

I always lose focus if I'm only playing poker on a low number of tables, normally I browse some forums and listen to music/watch videos. Of course I'm using a HUD so I don't have to focus on picking up information on my opponents, making life all the easier when I have concentration lapses. Doing something like I do to pass the time might be harder if you don't use a HUD, or if you are playing 6-max. If that is the case and you find it hard to multi-task then I just play for as long a period as you are comfortable with and then take a break for a while. And then do it all over again, Yay!
