My stats...

I attached a screen cap. What it's not saying is how it's 6 seat table with # of actual players fluctuating. It's also not explaining how I really only play quality hands and that I do play them in position(I could stand to tighten up some more, but...). Nor does it explain that my opponents at the 5c/10c level have a tendency to think any paint card is good and so consequentially if I lose one hand I win 3 or 4 more and get my money back + theirs.

I was just wondering if people can tell what I need to work on by looking at just the stats from a session. If so, any tips would be appreciated :).

61 hands is way to small of a sample to tell you anything meaningful.

Also, I suggest you get pokertracker, as the stats it will give you are much more conducive to analysis. Best $55 you'll ever spend.

There is a new version coming out early 2008, so even if you just get the trial 1,000 hands for now to get familiar with the software it will be worth your while.

Thanks. Going to check out pokertracker right now. I had read a bunch of articles saying it should be used because a lot of people use it. They implied it gives you an edge. If you're recommending it I'll give it a real look. I've been ignoring almost all the software because it looks like cheating. I don't want to cheat, just play better poker.

Since it has your seal of approval I think I'd better check it out. At least I can be sure it's not cheating now.

Here is the PT resources thread. It can be a little intimidating when you first get it, since there is so much information, but hopefully those links will help you navigate the software a little easier. Feel free, of course, to post any questions on cardschat, and PT has an excellent support forum for more technical issues (if any) as well.

PT isn't cheating since you could be doing the same work it does plugging your hands into Excel or, goog god, calcuating the various stats by hand.

It also doesn't help you at the table, so I wouldn't see how it could be cheating.
