I've just tried the new "Fast Forward" speed poker on Party and I can't believe how easy it was. And so exciting too! I won over 3 buyins in just 80 hands. My stats were shocking - 44/38 and 3betting 18% of hands  because most bets would result in fold, fold, fold.

Please will someone tell me that it isn't really this easy? :p Surely if I can win so much so quickly I could also lose it quickly. Logic tells me this must be the case. Anyone with long term experience of playing speed poker to talk me out of my new addiction? :D

Only 80??? I would not make any hypothesis on my success rate until at LEAST 30k hands

Don't get ahead of yourself. You'll probably do fine but like the last post said - waqit till you got 10k hands invested and see where the chips fall. Otherwise have fun.

Ha ha! Of course I realise 80 hands is nothing. But that's why I'm asking for the opinions of people who've played lots of hands. Do most players really just fold when you bet with any two cards? The only time I continued with the hand is when I faced resistance. Unless of course I hit the flop... Can this crazy strategy work or am I just asking for trouble? And will it damage my learning progress in "proper" poker?

I have not played FastForward, but played 100k+ hands of Rush and I can say this is more than likely due mostly to you being an unknown to them(only 10 hands). Once someone plays enough hands with you to notice the 44/38 you will get 3B or floated a lot more.

Thanks absoluthamm. I tried again and saw on my HUD that the same people start popping up and were getting wise to my strategy... Thanks for bursting my bubble! :(:D Really, it's what I needed to hear. At least I got a little boost from it and now it's back to the grind...
