Yeah playing straight forward poker has been pretty good. I've had a TON of bad beats the last few days, however in the last hour and ~ 1000 hands I went up about 6 buyins (600bb ). I just left all my tables after this hand that I ended up (thankfully) mucking.. still don't really know what the two guys in the hand were thinking.
UTG - ~500bb
Middle position - ~ 50bb
Hero - ~ 425bb
So we are extremely deep, which makes this even more bizarre, this is what happens:
UTG raises to 3bb, middle possition makes it 9 bb, i reraise to 26bb and then the UTG player flats??????, then the middle position player goes all in. I'm kinda confused obviously, so I flat the allin from the shortstack, and the UTG flats that allin as well.
Flop comes : 10 10 J monotone, we check the turn is a Q, he bets 100bb, i fold figuring maybe he was slow playing aces due to the big stacks, or possibly even had QQ. He turns over 10dJd ..... 10J!!!!!! made no sense lol.. I suppose it was a good fold considering i was crushed , but i didnt want to put 425bb in preflop with KK, i could have just folded i suppose but that seems far far to nitty. the stats on the UTG i think was a VPIP of 25 over about 600 hands, with about a 50% of calling 3 bets preflop. The middle position player had 5h8h lol....... I had 3 of my zoom tables with between 350 and 450 bb so i stood up before more crazy stuff happened lol. To bad that turn Q wasnt a King, i would have doubled up to about 800bb i suspect lol
So, it leaves me at about 200bb above from where my initial post was overall, which is better than minus 700bb which is where i was at one point after some continuous bad beats. I think over that -$50.00 (5nl) my allin-adjusted value was only -$5.00 and most of my losses were allins so thats a pretty bad skid, ive never seen so many river sets hit lol.
