basically im a semi reg. who plays every other day for a few hours who is having trouble...my strategy for cash is lag i think :/ im raising the port on a draw then continue to raose even if i dont hit the draw...if theyre raising that is my theory is that if theyre raising they think they have the best hand so if i hit my draw im gonna get paid big because no one would think im on a draw raising my starting hand range is any pp any suited connecters anything above 9 10 o and i think that covers it all PLZ HELP!

Well um disregarding everything you just said I would say it comes down to 1) learning the basics such as which hands you can effectively open from which positions etc as well when when to bet post and then 2) staying disciplined and not getting tilty at any point (in terms in playing limits you're not quite rolled for, making bad calls/folds you wouldn't otherwise make.. w/e. Also, asking questions and posting hands is always of great benefit.

I'd suggest working on a much more TAG game first. There's so many people willing to pay you with worse hands, there's no point or need to be pushing semi-bluffs.

The whole point of pushing those hard is to increase the number of hands you're going at strongly. You bet some of these extra hands in order to get more action when you actually have a hand since now aware villains understand sometimes you're doing this on a draw.

At uNL, there's no need. Players will go too far with weak holdings on their own. You don't need to induce any action. I think you'd be better off playing strong hands and working on lines for extraction.

Don't play LAG. All it takes is for a couple of stations to call you down with bottom pair a few times and you'll tilt like crazy and lose even more through tilting. Trust me ive been there. Nearly all opponents at these stakes wont think on your level so a lot of the bluffing just straight up won't work. Stick to playing tight.

Just to be a little more clear, if you're playing something like 8/5 at FR $4nl you're probably winning. Just by playing stronger starting hands villains will come in weakly enough that they won't be able to overcome the edge your cards are starting you off with.

Don't take this to mean 8/5 is optimal, I'm just saying you can go to that extreme and beat these lower stakes because villains don't notice that you're only playing the very best hands you're dealt.

idk maybe im over thinking it but basically im messing with my table image but maybe just maybe the players arent good enough to notice my table image but the way i see it is if i think ive got a table image and im playing at that level then other players will think the same way...

Yeah, it sounds like you're leveling yourself. For the most part you don't have a table image at uNL.

I'm playing some of the tightest poker of my life, a lot of sessions around 15/13 with 4% 3bet. Still hands like this happen with regularity.

Merge, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players

Hero (SB): $33.14 (132.6 bb)
BB: $39.20 (156.8 bb)
UTG+2: $34.77 (139.1 bb)
MP1: $11.60 (46.4 bb)
MP2: $25 (100 bb)
MP3: $13.19 (52.8 bb)
CO: $28.84 (115.4 bb)
BTN: $8.82 (35.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K:spade: K:club:

Flop: ($13.25) 9:heart: 5:spade: Q:spade: (4 players)

Turn: ($64.43) Q:club: (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($64.43) 5:club: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: $64.43 pot ($3.58 rake)
Final Board: 9:heart: 5:spade: Q:spade: Q:club: 5:club:
Hero showed K:spade: K:club: and won $60.85 ($32.01 net)

MP3: $28.52 (114.1 bb)
CO: $25 (100 bb)

Flop: ($9.40) 6:heart: 2:club: 5:spade: (3 players)
Hero bets $5.75, MP1 folds, CO calls $5.75

Turn: ($20.90) 6:club: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

River: ($20.90) 2:spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $16.15, CO calls $16.15 and is all-in

Results: $53.20 pot ($2.95 rake)
Final Board: 6:heart: 2:club: 5:spade: 6:club: 2:spade:
Hero showed Q:heart: Q:diamond: and won $50.25 ($25.25 net)

Villains just put their money in, nothing cosmic about it. Don't worry about your image, just play solid hands.

well its been one whole day and ive definitly noticed a difference i realized that i can play tight and nearly all the time they still call me when im betting 2 3rd pot down till show down my br is up quite a bit dont feel like saying until i hit my $100 mark and i also placed 9th in a turbo tourney and only made $7 (120 people) and probably actually lost money considering the fact that i entered so many but i consider it as a sign LOL
