Hi guys, I'm interested in playing some more Headsup although there's an issue.

The problem I've got which isn't really my problem more of annoyance regarding an opponent.

I find when you just join a table with just the 1 on, they play for around a few minutes. If i play a few hands they win, then iI win etc then fold for example a few hands and lose out by 10cents per fold. So after a few rounds I was down around 50 cents so didn't really play many hands. I was actually planning on playing for a while, however some people (most iv noticed) seem to try gain the most minimum profit even if its a few blinds then just up and leave. They don't even give some bullshit reason as to why and it leaves me so bloody annoyed that basically they wanted some blinds for "free" but had no intention of actually playing.

Another example on a different poker site I was on. It was .25/.50. We played heads up for around 15minutes maximum. Within the first few minutes I almost doubled up. Anyway I continued playing as this is why I joined the table in the first place. Anyway after a few folded hands and a pot win by this guy he was up by around $1.00.. He simply said "gg" and left and it left me feeling robbed! Not because i lost, i wouldn't mind if I lost all my buy-in. It's the fact the majority of players seem to just play until they gain ANY profit and then just simply up and leave. I understand this is part of poker, making a gain not a loss but i find it somewhat annoying. It doesn't seem like I've been out played by any means, more that someone has just pick pocketed a few chips of you from behind then leave.

I'd sooner wish i could play a game which had a "buy-in" of x amount and you have to play x amount of hands to determine the "winner" or until one is bust..Any ideas on this because it's kinda leaving me not wanting to play HU's.

I don't not mind losing if I'm outplayed, however i do mind when it seems everyone just joins to try steal a few pots/blinds then just simply up and leave...

You don't see this at the highest levels of play, they play the game for hundreds of hands not the minimal.

Anyone else had this problem? Feels like you're just basically being robbed blind.

ps: I've played around 6 different HU's game and I'm not joking when i say all have left once they got a minimal profit. They didn't seem to leave when they was down. It's so sick that i'v played a game when within 4/5hands they left without saying anything. I folded 3 hands and they got the blinds and just went !! Arrrg!

The only way I've thought is basically playing most hands..as there's no other way..although I don't want to do that as it isn't poker..

RE Heads up Angry Ben

Play SNG. Fixed buy in you have to survive to get paid.

Playing any ring game (HU or otherwise) you will always have to deal with the hit and run players.

PS: This is why I do not play any HU. six max ring SNG. My buddy only plays MTT.

just do sng's headsup, you can pick the buy in amount with anything from .90 cents to 200$ or more, its really fishy at the micro hu limits too

Alot of what Ive seen at the HU tables is the villain looks up stats on PTR.

If he doesnt think your a big enough fish or he doesnt have a big enough edge, he leaves.
