Harrington on Cash Games Vol 1&2
First of all I want to say what a fantastic book it is. I really love reading it. Just finished Volume 1 and started Volume 2. I find the advice really prudent and still very relevant.
Some of his advice seems directed more toward Live play, as he likes to mix up his play a good bit. Which is fantastic of course. But with online Multitabling people don't pay that much attention. With exception of 6max, there I would be much more deceptive then in my FL environment. Some deception is still required of course.
Anyway, besides the point in terms of my question. Which is...
I noticed, perhaps I have misread it or misunderstood it, that he is giving a conflicting advice between Vol 1 and Vol 2 on now to handle sets.
In volume 1 he kinda says (we are talking IP facing aggression) mainly call the Flop, or even check if he checks.
In volume 2, however, he recommends raising his Flop bet, be it Cbet or not. Stating if he has it it will be more profitable than is he doesn't.
I was just wondering has anyone read it? What are your thoughts on that. Thanks.
