Calling here is generally pretty bad. The reason is even if you hit you may not get paid enough to justify a call. On the surface it looks close, but SPR is high, so even moderately decent players are not going to stack off with just an over pair. The only hands that will go to war are sets, two pair, and MAYBE a big pair that picks up a nut or near nut flush draw on the turn. All of these hands have enough equity when you do spike your straight to SUBSTANTIALLY reduce your implied odds
If you are going to chase a gut shot, you NEED more money behind, smaller bets up front, or additional outs such as over cards or back door (high) flushes. In position you might be able to credibly bluff the turn if it is checked to you. If that is the case calling might be ok.
