im loving fixed limit, my opinion it is the true game to grind out with because its variance is really up to you much more than no limit, much more flexibility and more hands as well, what do you guys think am i correct about this, daniel negreanu and maria ho are one of the pros i know who claimed that it is there bread and butter, i like no limit for tourneys but im trying to focus on limit and razz for cash, is this a good idea and am i right about fixed limit being a better way to grind?
any suggestions or thoughts?

If you are good at fixed limit and making money then that is the way to go but you have to watch out because there is a lot of rake in fixed limit.

I agree with you. If you are going for grinding games with little variance, I guess fixed games are good. Buttttt, if your a true grinder, you'll look for the games with the most expected value, and in many cases those are the high variance no limit games. This is because the noobs that reside and play these games have a lot more to lose! Yeah they might get lucky, but your looking for the positive EV! In the long run, the more positive EV you got, the more profitable you will become. These limit games just don't present a lot of positive EV. And ofcourse you can only get a lot if the bets are less LIMITED... so if I were a grinder like you, go to the NLimit tables and practice your composure.... Be a true grinder and play NL holdem, you baby :D:D

i dislike fix limit and I personally think that the odds to call are bs when I have big hands. no limit has more variance but id take that any day over 5 people overcalling when I have real hands....and I cant bluff as much which means less profit....bluffing is profitable when used right

Honestly if you think bluffs are worthless in FLHE you're probably bluffing too much in NLHE. Bluffing total air is fundamentally out of balance in most cases, and not often profitable -- bluffs, frankly, are meant to supplement your income in credible value spots when villain is refusing to pay your value hands off. They can easily serve the same purpose in FL, if you know how and when to bluff (particularly true of HUFL -- FR FL has too many people in so that the only purpose bluffing can have is to preserve an image that allows you to keep getting paid off at showdown).

A good barreling tactic I like for FLHE is to x/r flop and then barrel turn. It reps the nuts so that even with lol odds it becomes very difficult for villain to peel, and all it costs is 2 bets.

something cool in fixed limit is to buy in way more than necessary and have the whole table mad about it, puts them on tilt when there playing with 3 dollars and you have 500 on the table

That's bad BRM, no it does not put anyone on tilt! Are you here to learn or just brag?!?

No it's not. Max amount you can put into a FL hand is 12 big bets, regardless of how much money you have at the table, which is precisely why FL tables have unlimited buy-ins. You can comfortably just put your entire bankroll in the middle.

not a brag, yeah it was kind of a joke but it is funny whenever someone buys in for an absurdly high amount into these fixed limit games just because they can, fixed limit is such a grind though, takes so much patience, i disagree that you cannot bluff, bluffing in fixed limit is a very valuable skill to level opponents

Oh yeah I definitely agree. Also bluffing in FLHE is just like bluffing in NLHE; the tighter someone's range is the more polarized it becomes and the more you can barrel. The fact it's harder to make bluffs stick in FL is a good thing because it keeps you from trying to bluff too much, which is a very easy mistake to make in NL.

The biggest disadvantage in micro/small limit games is unwillingness to folding of speculative hands. They always hit their draws on river...
