Gold Cards on Revolution (Formerly Cake) Network

To cut to the chase...

I know you have to play cash ring games to even have a shot at getting one of these "Gold Cards"... My question to you is how often are they handed out and what limit do you start seeing them regularly... I can grind 2/4 till the cows come home and never see one. Rumor had one is produced whenever a table reaches $20 in rake... I asked tech support this both from Cake and intertops... they have never heard of this before and said to the effect, "Sir, they are random and can be issued at any point in time."

So, since I am still fairly new on Revolution Gaming Network (formerly Cake)... how often do you see these cards generated? Also, what limits were you playing at?

ANY INFO woud be much appreciated as I have ht a dead wall!

I played at Cake for a while last year and was told by several other players there at the time, golds are released at the rate of $100 of rake, no matter what stakes you are playing. But the micro stakes only release lower level cards and the higher the stakes the better the chances you have of getting better cards released. I tested the $100 rake theory a couple times by keeping track of the rake after seeing a card released, and it was pretty spot on, the two or three times I remember keeping track. However since losing my small bankroll at the end of last year I stopped playing Cake. I checked my account 3 weeks ago since I still had gold chips and cards to play with, and noticed somehow $10 was deposited into my account from something titled CSG back in May. So I've been grinding that $10 at the .02/.04 and .05/.10 tables for the last 3 weeks pretty frequently, and have yet to see a single Gold card released, when last year I would see two or three a day released even at the micro's. So now I'm not sure what the deal is on them or if they are even being given out anymore, haven't asked around though. I noticed since being back they no longer have the loyalty store, or Gold card tournaments either and from what I can remember from before it just doesn't seem like there are as many perks as to playing there like in the past. the Match & Win has also been discontinued.

yea i miss the match n win some good tourneys. i barely get gold cards either.

I still have yet to see a single gold card issued in four weeks, but chatted with to guys at a .5/.10 table this morning and one said he got two last week and the other said he has seen a few issued here and there in the last couple of weeks, so that just leaves me to wonder if they have raised the rake income even higher before one gets released. To add to my comment about less being offered by cake, they have also stopped the happy hours for double FPP.
