hi guys, i have a problem about late position in sitngoes, i am a new sitngo player playing just about a week. i used to play only mtts before (there is a thread about evolution of an online poker player. i fit exactly) i do well for a beginner i think, i turned my 1 freeroll dolar into 50 dolar just playing 0.5 and 1 dolar buyins. i stick into 5 min turbo games.

%80 i succeed to be in the last 5 remaining. but when blinds raise enough, about 150/300 or 200/400, everyone goes all in alternately : ) i rarely do with crap, so what kind of hands are worth to go all in? especially when 4 people remained everyone is scared of each other, to steal blind i usually go allin with K9s or K10 offsuit and better. and also with pairs.

i think its not sufficient, what are your suggestions, what kind of hands do you go all in with in this situation?

allot of these s&g players steal with mediocre hands. try and take advantage of their bad play. gotta call some of those steelers. this is a very typical way they play when it's down to 3-4 players. good luck.

I think thats exactly one of the turbos sit&go problems, there is a moment where everyone its too shortstack and have to make a lot of moves just to stay alive in the tourney, in the bubble, I think that is better playing with position that playing with cards try to push in the dealer position with a lot of hands (don`t make it obvuis to your opponents that you are always pushing in dealer position), and playing a little more tight in the SB an the BB, I try not to call with weak Aces..

id stay away from the turbos if you are not comfortable with calling big bets....turbos you are held hostage by players who hit big hands early...in a regular sng you have more time to slowly build your stack playing odds...in a turbo the luck factor plays a much bigger roll and the game is out of your control

the bubble

Boy do i hate the bubble .....i always find myself in this position..Its usually when your stacked up and getting run over by the deck too.Beware the donks are still there lol.....Somebody probably just got done reading some pros book and now its time to implement what they think they might have learned from it. So try this...play only your strongest hands..this will limit how much the donks leak from YOU......Kick back and watch them have a war and swoop in after the money is there then play however you feel comfy ... Seems to at least get you even .... But what do i know im just another mule lol.

Get The SitNGo Wizard - Home. It solves the problem of SNG push-fold decisions.

Remember you need a much stronger hand to call an all-in than to push all-in.

wow that link is awesome. thanks.

the worst is when you are on the bubble and card dead. I'd try and wait for something like AJ or TT. but will settle for KQ or something like that if I had to.

On sit-n-goes i like to be agressive early. Specifically in turbo where only 2 people may get cash back. Get your stack up early and sit on it when others go crazy. If you have to when you get into tight blinds play cards higher than 10, pairs or atleast suited to give yourself the most outs possible.

I only like shoving near the bubble in a sit n go, if I have an ace or king on the button, or some kind of mid-to-high pocket pair, but it really depends on my stack size and how relative it is to the other stacks. If I'm the short stack, my range of hands increases, whereas if I'm a middle stack, I'd suggest tightening up, and as a big stack I like to try to steal blinds against the short stacks as they will be playing relatively tight not to go broke and you can steal their blinds.
