Hey guys,
My poker study group and I will often try to get together for sweat sessions. At first I was like, this will be cool and ill probably learn a lot. However, while I do learn some, I feel that sweats often are just us watching the other person, see a hand worth discussing, then try and talk about it but either one or both of the following happen:
1)Time bank starts ticking and the person has to make a decision quick.
2)Another table pops up with another hand we need to discuss.
This obviously hinders the learning process because we can never really come to a good conclusion or have a good discussion. Because of this, recently I've suggested we do session analyses since we can pause on hands and actually get something out of it.
Are we missing something or is this how sweat sessions usually go?
