I've been playing poker for a few months and I'm still playing at 2NL but I've learnt a fair bit so far. One of the spots that I find difficult is when I'm facing a 3-bet with 99s-JJs, I never know whether to 4-bet, call or fold. I'm thinking most times it should be a fold right?

I know it depends on a lot of factors like my position, their position, the stack sizes and how much they 3-bet but I am right in believing that most opponents at 2NL will have quite tight 3-bet ranges and aren't thinking about position all that much so that range is any different when 3-bet a UTG open and BTN open?

Just got 3-bet with Jacks again. I ****ing hate Jacks.

Cant imagine your getting 3bet light a ton at 2NL. Just folding and waiting for the nuts to 4bet cant be that bad. You dont need to get into 4B/5B variance wars to crush this limit!

Depends on your opponent...if he is a maniac and min 3bets then just 4bet jam....if its a reg who 3bets only the best then just call to setmine...and if an overcard hits the flop and you miss your set and he keeps betting then just fold...not much point in getting yourself into tricky spots..

Folding isn't going to be exploited at this limit. Just fold unless you are IP and both you, and your opponent have at least 20x the number you have to call left behind - if you need to call 20 cents, then both you and he should have $4 left behind. In these cases you can profitable set mine. If you get 3bet by an aggrotard/maniac who is doing it every hand then I don't mind 4Bet shoving with JJ/TT/AQ. Other than that though you should only be getting it in with AK/QQ/KK/AA.
