Hi.

I play 10nl on stars and I am want to ask about table selection. I have put some filters on. Min average pot 20, min players pr flop 17% (if I put it higher there are no tables), min hands pr hour 80.

What do you guys think about these filters, are they ok? should I have some more filters on?

I usually go on the waiting list if there is 0 - 2 players waiting. I dont see the point if there are more. I imagine that if you wait behind 3 other, by the time you get to the table it will have changed a lot and the people that you want to play against (not the regs) are gone. Is this wrong to think. Do you guys go on the waiting list no matter how many are there. I sometimes see tables were 9 people are waiting!!

Cheers for any repls

At 10nl it seems to be high for a $20 average pot. At least that is where I play. I think that no matter how you pick you tables, or when you go to a table is going to help how the play is at the table, and everyone is going to be different. The thing is to sit at your tables and figure out some of the players. There will always be a mix. Just because one bad player goes bust and leaves the table, don't mean another one, just like him, won't come to the table. I hope that makes sense.

:) its 20BB average, i.e. 2$

I know table selection is important, that is what more experienced players say all the time.

Maybe some of the other members will give us their opinion. Ok I miss understood about the pots. Yes you will get plenty of $2 pots. And the rest is just my opinion, nothing more.

A huge piece of advice I can forward onto you is "Start your own tables."

Get on the wait list for high activity tables and start your own. Afraid of playing short handed for a mere 30-50 hands tops? Relax. You'll get used to it.

Just observe the table a minute before you join and see how they play.
