Hi Guys!

This is my first post on this forum so please excuse me if this isn't located in the exact right place; I'm still familiarising myself with the site :)

Basically, I am here to ask you guys what you think I should be looking to do in terms of general game progression. I have attached below a couple of pictures that should give some credence to the assertion that I am a solid winner at the micros on 888 poker, playing FR. What I really want to know however, is at what point should I consider myself "done" with these levels (I am currently grinding NL10) and move on to higher stakes?

The problem, in one sense, is the fact that the traffic at NL20/30 on 888 FR is really really low, to the extent that during the daytime you would struggle to fill the ridiculously low 6 table cap with decent games. Part of me wonders if I would benefit switching to 6-Max, or if I should consider moving sites to bonus whore/ get rakeback or better rewards system?

Please let me know if you have any questions or bits of advice. thanks!

You move up only when your bankroll can handle it. Even if you are crushing a certain level, a bankroll that is too small can get destroyed by variance at any level.

Never be scared to allot a certain amount of buyins at a new level. If it goes well, great! If not, win a few more buyins at your current level and try again. Wash rinse repeat!

Thanks for the replies chaps.

My roll currently stands at around $625. I play a pretty patient game, table selecting very very carefully to make sure I am on tables where my nut hands will be paid off extremely often (therefore I can fold everything else and not need to engage in too many marginal spots). In that respect, the variance I have incurred to date has been relatively small in comparison to friends of mine who play significantly more LAGgy.

That having been said, I am quite risk averse and have a tendency to "lock up" a 2 or 3 buy in profit session instead of continuing to crush (shocking I know). I never tilt when I lose a buy in or two- it doesn't affect the way I approach the next hand in any way- but I do get EXTREMELY grumpy/angry/annoyed. With all this in mind, do you think I should continue grinding NL10 where I know I can crush it, or should I be prepared to give NL20 a go now I have 31 buy ins?

Cheers once more.

1-2NL is the lowest level at casino's, grinding 1-2NL is like getting your teeth pulled. What are you trying to accomplish? Play for fun or make a living? Work a day job to build your roll, when your not working play poker for free such as pokerstars and try and get as much play money chips as possible. Grind at 1-2NL until your crushing the game by winning at least $2500 a month plus working your day job. Now you have a fat roll, quit job and move up to 2-5NL and go for it!

JRock, how does this have anything to do with the thread? Seems it should belong somewhere else as certainly out of context here.
