I doubt it. Live it will always be there, because it is more cost effective for the cars rooms.

Online, it is less popular and that is a good thing. Short handed is much more interesting. But, there are many people who actively avoid playing short handed.

Online I would say yes, sites are steering the crowd toward hyper turbos and zoom tables instead where skill can have less of an edge and things have a bit moe gamble to them.

Online or live?

I'd say No to both, especially live.

Online has a lot more variety compared to live, but I feel like 9-max cash is the most popular.

Zoom and 6max actually gives much larger edges to good players and more rake to the house.

Online for sure but I feel like the tables are softer. Short hand will never happen intentionally live as it's not space or cost efficient

I like fullring. I don't think it's dying, but only the same people play it. New players prefer 6-max.
In fullring you are going to find tougher opponents, veterans, more experienced than you. That's why it is not as popular as 6-max. In 6-max you find more fishes and because of that it can be more profitable. That's why everybody is going there.

But real poker is played at fullring.

I seem to be in the minority but I am pretty positive you guys are wrong here. I started off playing full ring because it was easier to beat and I struggled at the aggression in 6max. Never realized full ring being harder was a popular opinion but you guys could just be the live players that think live is harder then online too. Who knows.

Live tougher than online ... 10c/25c plo is harder than $2/5 live lol.. Also agree with your sentiment on full ring vs 6 max.. Maybe they just don't understand that 6 max is built for more aggression..

the fullring not think this dying I think this above 6 max and other types of games there are many full tables what happens is that new players believe that playing in a shorter table are more likely

Live is all about full ring. Online is going more to 6 max everyday. At low levels the full ring tables are still there and usually full of novice players with a sprinkling of solid "old timers". 6 max dominates as you rise limits. Online is about speed and action and go go go. Full ring is like watching paint dry once you have settled into 6 max. I enjoy it all. Full ring, 6 max, heads up, whatever. I mix it up and I think that others like to as well so no I do not think full ring is going away.

Its interesting that while Cash has more 6 max tables, Tourneys are mostly full ring. It must have to do with aggression.

It's dying online because its too easy to win by playing tight. People need to email their pokersites and ask for mandatory straddled games and possibly ante games. Many winning nits will turn into losers if this ever happened. I love playing shorthanded live because even a lot of good regs aren't used to it, but casinos want full tables, so full ring will probably always be the main game there.

Poker in general is becoming smaller every year, no fr won't die, but I don't think poker is done shrinking either.

Mostly, It is because of new players(fishes). They don't really ike to play with lots of players? so they choose short-handed.

I do seem to see less and less full table online but when live i rarely see a shorthanded game. I personally prefer a full table vs. shorthanded.

is fullring dying ?how do you think ?

I think when playing live full ring will be the player's choice for the foreseeable future. Online seems to be a different story.

Until about 3 weeks ago I hadn't played online since Black Friday. I began at Carbon and just started dabbling at Interops. I've been really surprised - and disappointed - how few full ring games are available.

Carbon has a single full ring game available in most stakes roughly 75% of the time. At Interops it's roughly 25%. That's only 1 available game at your preferred stakes. No table choice. Crappy table...too bad.

In my 7 years playing poker, I've only played full ring; both online and live. When I lived in OC I played at all the card clubs and the tables always complained when they didn't immediately combine short tables. Online in the "old" pokerstars there were always plenty of choices in full ring.

6 is such at different game to me. Do y'all really prefer the 6max game?

Fullring is still very much alive. 6 max is more popular though. I play both. Depending on how I feel like playing. Tight or aggressive

I see less and less of it online. About the same in brick and mortar.

The more I play 6 handed, the more I dislike full ring, so online, that's fine with me.
