What do you prefer and why? I think I like the full ring better in no limit and short handed in limit. I don't know why, though. i think i tend to play looser in limit games. Today I won a free dollar from carbon and went to the .02/.04 limit full ring tables. After a few unlucky hands my dollar ws gone. Makes me sad, but mainly because Carbon doesn't offer true limit games, as the bets are never capped. What is up with that??? Anyway, now I'm back on the grind for that dollar and wonder if next time i should try short handed limit to try to build it up. Opinions, please?

It's simpler to be looser in limit games, as you're almost always getting odds to hit your hand. Probably not your game. I like 6 handed because there's more action, blind attacks, and 3 betting. Full ring you're required to have a tighter game strategy.

i definately prefer no limit, but with only $1 i couldn't do that. i've had sucess at 6 man limit games on stars, but i don't know now. i guess next time i take a crack at it i'll have to play a tighter strategy

Depends on my mood , but both are enjoyable. If I am only playing a short session 6 max is my choice.Grinding a bit then it may be full ring. A dollar is a tough amount to start with no matter the venue GL though.

My absolute favorite is 8 player tables; in a live setting. But online:
For me it depends on how big my br is and how I am feeling. When my br is short or I am feeling timid I try to play full ring so I can play more implied odds hands in position for cheap and take fewer risks with medium strength hands up front.
If I have a decent roll and I want more action, or if there are some really bad players I like 6max. There are more opportunities to exploit weak players in the short handed games, plus people seem more willing to gamble.

6 max

live cash games, 2-5, 5-5, and 5-10
short handed 6 max is much better,, hand values go up a bit and more action , 3 betting, reraising etc.. much more fun

Depends on my mood...for fun 6 max is the most fun you can have bc hand values obv go way up and 3 betting is the norm...or should be. For grinding I prefer FR NL is there are players that play wayy too predictably or too tightly in the blinds, etc...or play too passively; while by and large those types avoid 6 max.

As far as LHE; why the heck would I wanna play that....one of the worst games ever imho...

I play Omaha Hi on and off. Only semi-skilled so I prefer the short stacked stategy in a FR game to negate some of my opponents skills.
More comfortable at Holdem so always buy in for max FR or 6 man.
