Playing the micros as a TAG player, which is better? I had assumed that being a tighter player, that a full table would be better...but I'm wondering if I'm mistaken.

My tendencies lean toward the TAG side. I have always preferred the full tables vs. 6Max. I don't feel the need to play in as many pots due to having blinds invested or having position. Raises/re-reraises also seem to have more value at a full table since players usually will play with more premium hands.

well, you can crush 6max by playing 15% of the hands and this means 1 hand for every orbit... You'll probably be dealt enough good playable hands 1-2 for every 10 hands on either full ring or 6max

You need to adjust your game to 6max because it's more aggressive game and more likely to be raised with air,but your big hands will be paid off easily by overpairs, top pairs or two-pairs.

You'll find more massive spewtards at 6max and more nits FR. The former will donate more money, with a little added variance.

Don't worry about playing too tight, being too tight in poker is really not a big problem.

I wasn't worried about being too tight, just wondered if my style was more suited towards full tables. Never considered how the opposition might be different at the 6max tables though...interesting.

think a bit about the nature of the game, test out where you feel good and go with it.

Being a nit is great for 6max, just pick your spots when to make a move and when to steal and you should be good to go. Too many players feel as though they need to make more moves than they really do, take advantage of that and take advantage of position, and you'll be fine. Also, I typically defend my blinds a little bit more loosely as people want to steal more in 6max.

Follow the advice already given in this thread and increase your bankroll requirements for 6max by 1-200bb and you'll be fine.

In my experience, people tend to play much worse at 6max than FR, but there is a LOT more variance. It would be nothing to be loser at 6 max over 20-30k hands... just be aware of it and don't give up too soon. Good luck.

Is there a great deal more bluffing in 6max than FR (primarily micros)? I just recently started playing a bit of 5NL 6max and the bets and raises seem much more frequent than FR.

I prefer to play at 6 max tables because I've had better luck there, probably the spewtard factor.

I guess if you're a TAG you get more benefit playing on a 6 Handed table, just for the fact that you're against less players. I like to play at Full ring table, never liked 6 handed.

TAG is tight agressive
Spewtard is someone who makes just throws money into a pot even though the situations in which he is getting into is ridiculously -EV
