I tend to stick to playing full ring games and was just wondering what you guys thought were the biggest adjustments you need to bring to your game when playing 6 max

Hay Arfer I specialize in 6 max and I may have a few tips I can throw your way. First thing you will notice are that the games are a lot more aggressive and the blinds will be hitting you twice as fast. In a 6 max you can really open up and use position to hammer the weaker players at the table and what I mean by this is that you want to have the recreational/fishy player on your right so you don't get any surprises and can reraise his bets and maintain control of the pot and value town the shit out of them when they over commit themselves. You want the tight/rocky players on your left/ in front of you because his hand range will be a lot more narrow than the lose recreational player this will allow you to flat his raises and trap knowing he has a somewhat already made hand that he may have trouble getting away from and if you miss its any easy fold. In a full ring game having( A.T) in your utg/utg+1 range would be sick but -ev however this is perfectly fine in 6 max I could go on,but I'm on my iphone and this probably looks bad 😕

If we look at the simple mathematic you can see that at the 9-max table it is more likely to stay alone after big re-raise. You are in opposition to remain only high cards, the possible dro, large pairs and suited Broadway. Personally, with experience already, I prefer to play only 9-max tables. This helps to more accurately select the strategy.

6-max are a bit too agressive for me. I'll rather stick to the full ring MTT's. But good luck!

At 6 max, have to loosen your range.

At short handed, people tend to be aggressive and stealing pot is often happens.

You need to be significantly more aggressive and loose at 6max. If you're not fighting for the blinds and small pots, you won't have a positive winrate. So everyones range is wider, you have to bluff catch more and your implied odds with speculative hands goes down.

Overall it's a bit harder to play but you can have a bigger edge if you're good.

6 max you need to play agressive, because bb and sb will pass to you faster. and its more dificult to wait for premium hands, i usually like to play full ring, its more time to think and wait for good hands ^^
