I've found myself becoming a solid SNG player, developing a good bankroll from a small beginning. At the moment, I'm around $450...I always play two $10 + $1 6 handed SNGs at a time. I've played a couple 26$ sat. token sngs and used them in the Full Tilt Guarantees. I'd like to start playing more of these, and am looking for some advice on my play in them. The last one I remember playing a few months back I remembered pushing the flop on a monster open ended straight flush draw and losing to a flopped set. Looking back I see this as a big mistake. I also thought about the double stack format. Should I be playing less hands early on? Maybe playing more made hands then getting into big pots with AK? Also, maybe I need to work on position and not playing so much in the early spots. Any feedback would be great.

Early on in those big tournaments I find there is always at least 1 or 2 big donkeys at your table, find out who they are fast and you can play some weaker hands against them. They will be bluffing deep into hands early on in the tournament. And it's a good idea to play hands with implied odds against anyone early on especially in multiway pots. But generally play less hands early on than later in the tournament. And keep in mind if you play a big one with over 800 people, it's very unlikely you'll go deep you'll need to win races. The chances of winning or cashing in a 6 handed sng are much much higher.

The guarantees are just really big tournaments. I have yet to see an overlay. You should pick the tournamen that is the size you want IMO.
