After having enough of the Rush tables  , I decided to try the Shallow Stack tables. I normally play 5NL, but I found that I could be more profitable playing at 10NL. I have also found that the format seems to go perfect with my style, which is very aggressive pre-flop and on the flop. I was curious what others thought of this format, and if anyone else has had success.

I don't play cash games alot, but "shallow" or "short" stacks take away from the profitablity of small pocket pairs and suited connectors.

I've made alot of profit at the shallow stack tables, simply because there are 'alot' of shortstackers there who get totally predictable over time. The all in or fold strategy is a bit tiresome, but if you play against their range correctly, it can be quite juicy.

I played the SSS (Short Stack Strategy) for a very long time. And concluded that you could'nt make a profit in this game style but in the other hand you rarely loses. The advantage of this method is that you get a very big rake back.
If you want to learn about the SSS - google it.

Sorry about the english:)

Shallow tables are terrible.

Playing against other short stacks removes the point of playing with a short stack yourself.

Playing with a short stack reduces skill edge (game is more complex the deeper the stacks get and favours the better player).

Rake is bigger relative to the pots (this is very bad).

Probably some other stuff too that I can't think of right now.
