V1 = LAG Calling station. Loose aggressive. Deep stack
V2 = TAG player. Small stack.

1) Dealt 79s on the button.
V1 is tight. He raises $10 pre-flop.
V2 raises to $30
Hero folds.
Was this a HUGE mistake?
Should I have tried to play position, where they both miss the flop, and I C-bet??

I know outcome doesn't matter but.....
V1 was holding KK
V2 was holding AQ.
So, I would have lost this time.

Why is this a troll? Do you even know what a troll is? I am trying to learn how to play poker beyond just waiting for bullets and shoving.

You must know those good starting hands first.

Then know those preflop and postflop plays next.

Folding is the correct play you don't want to be putting in 15BB's hoping to outflop a repped AA or KK..

Then what happens if flop comes a straight draw or flush draw or maybe you hit top pair.. You end up talking yourself into "oh' he could have AK and missed and you put more chips in.. It's just easier/better to get out of the way..

Yes, playing suited connectors in position can be a good advanced move but you don't want to be committing so many chips without the aggression (coming from you) in these spots.. You may get lucky and flop treeps or a straight but this doesn't happen enough to be putting in 15BB here..

When I say without the aggression I am not recommending you re-raise here especially not at 200NL Live..

You start by saying that V1 is a LAG Calling Station then you describe him as Tight when he raises to $10 Pre-Flop. Which is it? Well, it doesn't really matter because in the face of a raise and a re-raise suited connectors are junk; just fold. What are you expecting to flop often enough to justify calling? In fact, I might even fold Jacks in this spot and I wouldn't feel great about queens either. So no, not a "Huge Mistake".

I haven't read your other post and this is by no means the best composed HH I've ever seen but certainly not worthy of this kind of attack. In fact IMHO Mr. Magicius' post is a better example of trolling than yours. Don't worry about it. Just keep posting.

And why is that so mr.four dogs? Op made 3 threads which are pretty much same... You should read them before judging me.... I mean in one thread he says he is being dealt K4o! And he is asking was that a good fold?
There is no need to spam forum with 5 separate hands when you can put all of that in one thread...

where are your mistakes ??

Well having read a few your questions in the forum regarding hands played i see a few things common in all those questions.

1.All hands are about where you fold pre flop and you ask if you made a huge mistake in folding any of those hands.

2. You made the correct decision every time (of folding pre flop)

Well its another thing making mistakes or being unsure of making decisions and then asking questions .... but you made the right decision each and every time and your question comes across as an unnecessary one. Even in this hand you know after the hand ended that both the initial raiser and 3better had premium hands and your hand was just any two cards. Then why would "folding 7 9 here be a HUGE mistake" ?? Now i don't know whether it is deliberate or what you are trying to achieve so i won't comment about that. :flowers:

Fold. Unless you have really compelling reasons not too.
