Is it worth thinking about folding these to villains you put on aces? I'm just wondering because of the level of play at 10nl along with the odds of getting KK vs AA?

I have asked myself the same question..it sucks when you end up all in preflop and you had a fair idea he had aces. I also play 10NL and its true alot of people only shove AA/KK preflop but plenty of others do so with AK/QQ/JJ and even AQ/TT.

But I guess you just have to put it down as a short term loss and think of all the times you will have AA vs KK to balance things out.

Here'something to think about, In checking my stats on PT3, pocket Ks have won 90.12 % of the time. Pocket As have won 90.12 %. IMO I would never fold either one. Also, twice, my Ks have been beaten by Qs.

C'mon now, even I'm not folding Kings pre-flop and I'm as nitty as it comes. If you're up against A-A, so be it. More often than not you're way ahead of his range, even if he is really tight. Many times I've been against a villain who has a 3-bet % of, say 3%, but when I look him up he's 3-bet/shoving as low as 9-9+ and A-Q. This is the micros after all. You are NEVER behind his range.

So is everyone saying even by a tight player like deuces said who 4bet shoves? In situations like that i always feel it screams aces...

We basically have to have a 100% read on someone to ever fold KK. This will take more than 200 hands, even 1000 hands. If there was someone playing something like 8/5 over 3000 hands and I had only ever seen him get it in with AA then I may think about it. At the micros we generally don't sit with anyone to get this good of a read on them so just ship it.

Another reason to fold them would be if we are like 500bbs deep but this will likely never happen...

I think if I ever folded KK pre flop I would
immediately give up playing poker

I can see no circumstances where I would
ever fold KK pre flop, as someone else
said if you are up against AA then thats poker
but 95% of the time you are way ahead

If someone turned their cards and showed
AA then maybe just maybe I would fold but
apart from that never
