This is more of a general situation I find myself running into both live and online. It def depends on the villain but I often find myself hitting TPTK (like AK hitting either and Ace or a King on flop) but the board being 2 of same suit and/or having st8 possibilities.

In these spots I'm almost always betting 3/4 to pot if it's 2 or less villains in the hand regardless of position. Now if a known gambler/fish 3,4 or shove bets me I know I'm likely beat by some 2p or set but if an aggressive but tight player pops me on a bet I'm often unsure where I'm at.

How do you play TPTK on a drawy board facing 2 or less villains? Do you check OOP and bet pot IP? Do you call or 4 or 5 bet their raise if you do bet and they come back at you?

A lot of people say when someone 3 bets you on these boards even if the cards are a low junk, you're TPTK is no good.

Thoughts?

If you've got the nut flush and a straight draw on the flop you've got a 51% favour over top pair/two pair. Personally I would call their shove or go all in because you have to consider the following options in a cash game:

You have AK you have a straight and nut flush?

Could they be bluffing?

Are they drawing too? And if you have AK you beat their flush draw (unless it's a straight flush obviously)

If you hit which the majority of the time time you probably will you will get paid nicely.

If you don't hit well just rebuy in.

The odds are good enough for you to call?

And how I play it I would check call a draw, or if I know my opponent is abit of a weak player I would check, re raise, then on the turn about 62 percent of pot. Reason for this is if you have position he will check the turn and then you can fire again and if he's bluffing he will almost certainly fold because he knows you have something via the re raise on the flop.
If he calls you on the turn you know your beat (that's if you haven't hit your flush or straight) so if he calls its on your decision to bluff the river if you missed or check fold the river. Profitable in the long Term.
Hope this helped

If the person is a known gambooler, you have TPTK with AK... That's a great spot to call his shove. He is likely playing any suited cards and or a weaker ace. He may hit his draw but he only has a 1 in four chance to actually hit. I would think it's a profitable call in the long run.
