Generally speaking, how is best to go about flopping bottom 2 pair or making bottom 2 pair on the turn? I know many factors come into play at the specific time but I need some advice as I seem to lose a massive amount of these even though im most likely miles ahead after the flop.

I'm not sure if this is the best way but if it helps I've started to treat it like hitting top pair top kicker (TPTK) in order to avoid losing a big pot.

My theory is, when you really think about it, it is basically the same hand as TPTK because your opponent has you beat with all of the same things if they are raising you back on later streets.

Just ask yourself before you slow play, would you do this with TPTK? Or even if you bet the pot with it, would you do that with TPTK? And when you get re-raised on a later street, would you call with TPTK? The answer may be still yes in all of the situations, just not against every type of opponent.

Bottom 2 pair could be a very tricky hand to hold. You know, you can win a big pots with it sometimes, but generally speaking it's definitely not an unvulnerable hand and could be outdrawed very easy. I really depends on the particular spot much. If nitty opponent raise you on the turn and you're holding bottom 2 you would mostly have to fold, if you get a big action from loose guy, you'll get yourself into very hard decision often. But I wonder there's no chips to grab without risk, but I would still be rather wary about these types of hands.

There is not a "best" line, though obv some lines are better than others in certain scenarios.

Playing JT on JsTsQh would be totally different to 28 on 28K rainbow.

My overall advice would be to bet an amount I shall call 'x', and should you get raised by amount 'y', ask yourself if villain would likely be raising with worse.
