Hey everyone I'm new to the forum. In march we are taking a trip to California and we are staying by two 18+ casinos (Im only 18). I've been playing since I can remember and have done some local small tournaments around here and won. However, I know a cash game in a casino is totally different (For example I understand you shouldn't flat call that much). Anyway I just want any and all tips you guys might have. I will be playing 1-2 No limit holdem. Thanks for any advice you can give.

It is always good to have a solid strategy and as a rule to retire from the table if you win 3 or 4 big blinds the cash game is more difficult since you find better players

Beware of bluffing (too often) in live cash games in casinos. In my experience, live cash game players are way less often bluffing than tournament players. If somebody reraises you and you join in, your hand should be worth something.

Be patient. Trying to earn quickly greatly increases the risks.

Wait for the good hands to come it may take a hile but they will also dont jst call all ins when you have Arag because most of the time somone else will have ace with better kicker. and you always want to play the same style of poker you play with 100$ on the line or 1K$ on the line... an position play will help alot online consider reads are a bit harder than in RL so with this and some of the other tips given it might help you be a bit more sucsessful in your endevours for poker stardom

Bluff with a minimum bet. I know it sounds ridiculous but the practice taught me that way. If your opponent has something and you have nothing and you bet the pot size you risk to be paid and be considered as a donk and ever since then your raises won't be respected and they will call you with shitty cards and they will get full houses with 72o and you will quit poker. This is my personal experience and I have been on the both sides. Good luck.

Don't overestimate the opposition. Believe in yourself. If you get down (and you will) don't panic. Stick with your game and you will do fine.

Be careful, do not play every hand, when you double the stake to leave the table.

It is hard to really give advice because advice is only as good as your ability to utilize it. (Not too mention, advice is like an asshole. You know that one right? Everyone has something to offer, but a lot of it stinks....)

There is no "one size fits all". You could face some regular live grinders and you need to try to distinguish between serious and recreational players. Bluffing may work vs. the right player. Vs the action hungry tourist it probably won't. but vs. a player who is paying attention it could, depending on how your image is. Try to pick up on player tendencies. Try to disguise yours.

Just try to play good, and analyze your play after the game if you can.

Good luck.

Play tight and aggressive. Play in position.

Small hand = small pot

Don't go broke in a limped pot.

Big bets on the river usually mean they have it.

good luck

Quiet

Do not talk to anyone and play tight aggressive, the more you talk to every one the more information they get and they figure you out.

So you’ve had a seat at the table and it’s time to get stuck in. You can do this straight away by posting the equivalent to a big blind or you can wait for the big blind to come to you. This gives you a chance to acclimatize to the table, watch the action and the players before getting involved.

Hello.
First of all I want to suggest to you to play on tight-agressive style , and try to read your opponents , don't bluff play safe as someone already told you. If you like to bluf , then try to do it once 1 hour when you feel this situation. Try to hit nice combinations , and try to get some money from them.
Be careful on wich possition you are , and wich hands you want to open. Try to read the opponets diapason , and everytime calculate your stack , and even if you want you can calculate the stack of your opponents. Try to calculate how many money are on the bank to make your bet. Control yourself , and your emotions. When you played some hours , and you're on plus I suggest to you to leave the table.
Good luck to you ;) I wish you the best.
Thanks.

My advice... Don't forget how to play poker and I am serious. It is easy to start doing what every old donkey is doing at the table and at 1-2 NL and that is what 80% of the table will be, old donkeys that have no idea what they are doing. Your job is to whip them into the right corral not join in their donkey play.
