Hello everyone hope youz all OK and doing well in poker. Now I'm planing to try my first 1-2 cash full ring in casino. I need some advice here as most of youz played in casinos or at least some of youz. I'm still learning and all the advice I got in past from cardschat member was very helpful and I see my self more often running deep in mtt. Any tips or tricks anyone like to share please feel free to post as this might help others in same boat as well. :)

Buy in for the max. If you're gonna buy in for like 20-30 big blinds, it's kinda pointless, because after one loss, you're probably around 10 big blinds. Also, buying in for max allows you to call preflops with all kinds of crazy hands. If you're just gonna buy in for low, and only play big hands preflop, it's pointless. That's because other players will call preflop with rags, hoping to make hands.

For the very first time, think of the money used for buy-in, as money already lost.

I am not saying you will have a losing session, just that you should be as calm as possible, not to end up overthinking whether an amount is too much to pay or not during a hand.

It is of a great importance for you to think about your play and whether it is a profitable one or not, how good of a decision it will be. Try figuring out what your opponent could have so you can play accordingly. DO NOT in the middle of the hand think in a way - "Oh, I need to pay this amount of $, that is equal to one breakfast, it seems too much etc."

I am saying this from experience, going with friends that I took to live games for their first time :)

When playing live, try to go to a table that is mostly full. Wait until posting the big blind so you can watch a few hands to see how others play. Remember, it's a game. You can play the fish card and act like you never played before, and that way you can pull more bluffs off, or act like you've been playing for years and be more conservative.

Best of luck!!

Speak audibly and clearly to the dealer.

The dealer is the only one that is running the table and therefore the only one that needs to know what you are doing. They will tell the other players in the hand what you did.

If you're not sure "where the action is" then ask the dealer for clarification. Has it been checked? How much is the bet?

Oh, yeah - don't act out of turn and don't talk about the hand in progress or what you folded and how it does or doesn't match the flop lol

Good luck !

More often than not live cash is full of people who love to gamble so expect them to be calling wide ranges preflop. Play more pots in position if possible so you can see others action before it's your turn. Be patient. Play fit or fold poker. When you have strong holdings bet for value until told otherwise. Most of all, have fun! :D

Playing tight is right because it's just the beginning. Slow but steady, get the feel of it, experience it, observe everything that's happening on the table, don't act of out turn, look at your hand only when it comes to you.

Good advice for me as well. I plan to play my first live poker event on Sunday, and even though it is a Tourney, I know that I can use some of the advice on poker etiquette and standard procedure to avoid making noob mistakes. Thanks!

Great point! Also, don't chase draws early. Watch and learn, that is way more important than online.

Make friends with the dealer. Tip when you win. If in doubt, ask questions. Relax and have fun. Be sure to dress for the casino - generally cold at the poker table.

You want to take it slow in the beginning. No bluffs, playing ABC, nothing crazy. If you see someone betting like crazy, don't go out of line to try to get them off their hand when you don't know how they play. Just play your strong hands to start.

In a live 1/2 game, I like to pick 2 raises pre that have different meanings. For you, I would use one. A $12 bet basically says I want to build the pot, but only if you have something decent to play with. If someone does that before you and you have 5 callers and you look down at AA, you want to make a huge raise/shove. You already have a decent built pot and you may get a caller or two when you have the nuts pre.

This is true. The only draw you should really concentrate on is the nut flush draw in the beginning. The rest can be shifty with multiple players and if the board pairs.

My biggest piece of advice would be to take your time.

First: Know when action's on you; fold quickly pre-flop if you know you're folding; and otherwise do your part to keep the game moving!

But when you need the time, take it. For me that was tough to do when I first started playing live because it's harder to concentrate with everyone waiting for you to act. When you're playing an important spot though, you need to force yourself to slow down to focus and take the time you need.

Good luck at the casino!

Make sure you know the rules of the casino as far as what a string bet is, make sure you do not place chips in front of your cards. If you raise make sure to announce raise. Do not just through your cards into the muck unless you know for sure you have lost the hand.

1-2 live is exactly the same like NL2 online. Just learn the play for NL2 and this will be enough for 1-2 live. With some "tips". For "the body language". To not give an info with your reactions. You know, there are "very experienced" gamblers in the casino. Some of them even play for money. "An old dogs" :D. They know nothing about "the optimal" play, but they have some skills for the live games.

Hi, everyone I want to tell my story about gambling in general. A few days ago I had absolutely no money, just a couple of bucks. And I have friends, they play poker, and in general they go to the casino quite often. We decided to invite me to this site W88. I decided to play dice, and I bet the last money I had and won a big jackpot, I am very grateful to my friends and this site, of course, there still, in my opinion, everyone plays only poker, and some kind of poker games.

Take you time. Its ok watch and follow a table as a viewer. Be rested do bathroom thing and food stuff before you start.

Once on table, Tight is right. I would limit my hand selection play Hijack cut off and button. Pretty tight and no need chase.

Focus on everyhand, with or without cards. So many mental reps.

Have a pre set time limit, win or lose. 2 hours? 3 hours? Get up, review, rest or just all it day.

It helps get cards, but people will share alot of info, your job is crush the souls of weak players, and its ok to avoid the better ones.

Breathe, enjoy yourself. It will be ok.
