So, on saturday I went to the casino and played a live cash game for the first time. I played for about 3 hours in which I was dealt 80 hands aprox. The level was the lowest possible ($10 / $25 pesos, which is about 1 /2,5 USD) and I bought in for the minimum, 30 bb´s.

Of all the hands, I only disputed 3 pots, with the following hands:

- In the button. Every one folds before me. I hold 6h 5h, and I raise 3xbb. Sb folds and BB calls. Flop: Ah 4d 8h. BB checks and I raise 4bbs since I have a flush draw and a possible straight too. BB calls. Qc comes up. BB checks and I check too. Last card, 5s. BB raises 6bbs and I fold. He mucks.

- Holding Ah Kh in a middle position. UTG+1 raises to 5bbs. I call and villian in the button calls too. Flop: Ac Jh 5h. UTG+1 checks. I raise 4bbs, and UTG+1 calls. 8c comes up. I check. He raises 6bbs and I push all in, which he calls. He shows Qh Jc. River comes up to be 2s and I double up on him.

- 10c Qc. I am BB. Someone in the middle position raises 3bb and everyone folds except me. Flop comes out as 10h Js Qd. He makes a 3bb bet and I call. Next card, Kc. He raises 6bbs. I fold.

Ended up the session with 35bbs.
Have I made the right decissions? Is there anything you would have changed?
Thanks for answering.

Maybe just folds 56s on the button, unless the bb was real nitty.

Folding 56s on the button? Only reason I'd fold it is if I know the blinds are competent players that are aggressive and will fight back my button raise.

56s can hit a flop hard and makes it easier to barrel when you have OESD&FDs.
Or even the miracle trips/two pairs. If the blinds 3 bet you can just fold and make adjustments. If the blinds call, you will just have to play the board & the player accordingly. Obviously you can't fire away into a calling station, but if the villain has a brain and has no equity on the flop it would be an easy C-bet stab to take with 56s in position.

I'd raise 56s over K5 or some random junk on the button.

If you fold too much on the button, you're range is going start becoming REAL narrow when others start to notice.

Buy in for the max if possible. Playing hands like 65s when you only have 30bb is a mistake.

Edit: I had 60bbs, I entered with 1500$ which equals 60bbs. It was the minimun though.

1. I would have barreled on the turn as well as river. I would recommend to focus on bet sizing, since you put $100 pesos on a pot of $160, which is too high I think.
2. Re-raise, re-raise, re-raise!
3. Again, re-raise on the flop.
