welp I feel proud thanks to all the advice in this forum and this thread I made $58.05 in 3 hours at bet royal poker. I got the free $11 and sat down at a limit $0.50/$1 and lost 5 cents in the mean time I sat down at a $0.05/$0.10 no limit with $6 and just played patiently making notes on the players after about 10 hands I started my venture got to $40 then lost $15 and ended up heads up against the best possible bluffer. I had $25 or so he had $30 after a few moves I had $30 and he had $25 then the Jc5c whipped into my hand I raised tripled blinds to $0.30 and he calls flop comes Kd8cAc so I bet $0.50 he calls the turn Qc I got the flush and he raised me $5 so I got scared then relized I am projecting his hand to High so I called he bet $10 on the river 9s so I raised him all in and he turned over 10 J not suited. pot to me was $48.xx. Is there any suggestions for next time?

P.S. I gotta hand it to Paulsson for the booster and the advice he's a great guy.

Goos stuff m8. Suggestions for next time? Sounds to me like you are doing pretty good at the minute!

My only suggestion is that if this is your entire roll at this site and you hope to play here for a while with this, then dont play NL ring games. Sure you had a good result this time but taking your roll to a NL ring game, even with the blinds being low, is pretty dangerous and will see you go broke very quicky.

Better off taking it to a $0.10/$0.20 limit ring and painstakingly build it up. Will take longer but safer in the long run

Good luck

Nah Colin, N/L ring is fine if you have a sufficent roll to be able to lose your full buy-in (should be max $10 at the 5c/10c tables) several times, and not play scared at any stage.

The way im grinding at the N/L games on stars at the moment is to make 2000BB at each level before moving up (or 8 MAX buy-ins for the next level or whichever is less). So really you need to be up to $200 before you consider moving to $25 MAX. Now if you drop to $100 you need to go back to the $10 MAX and move up to $50 MAX if you make $400.

Get it ? Well thats my grand plan anyway, and im stuck hovering around the $90-$100 profit mark at the $10 max tables, cold deck :(

Thanks

The NL tables are scary places for me I only went there so I could try the free money. I'am going to cash it out and sit on it until I finish reading the "Small Stakes Holdem" by ed miller then maybe I'll feel more comfortable playing with it. Thanks for the advice, and you are right I did get lucky.
