How do you guys recognize the soft tables to get into? I go from table to table trying to figure out which tables are soft but have to play a cycle or two to figure that out....is there way to observe for soft play?

The players to see the flop percentage, you want it to be high.
I noticed the numbers on Carbon are lower than what we were able to find on FT or PS but you can land a good table here and there.
There may be other ways to tell, but that is the first thing I look at.

I tried that but loose tables and my style doesnt seem to agree.
I like tighter tables and HU play after the flop. I seem to do better at those tables.

I havent used players per flop stats or waiting lists for like 6 months, just click on partially full tables or empty ones and sit beside fish or let them come to you, easy.

Definitely less fish at Merge, all the US regs went there with none of the fish because it's one of the few places to play.

What Pooffy said basically though.

I've found Everest don't have many spewy types. I normally got with a high % flop seen and average amount per hand. But still I'm often sat with Rocks.

Yeah, I think it was Acky who first clued me in to opening tables and waiting for them to come to you. Works for me. Just be prepared to leave a table if things aren't favourable, for example, pita reg on your left, nit on your right.

^ Definately this. If you're in the US now and trying to play poker online it's way different than the pre Black Friday atmosphere. Playing in the US is just such a PITA now that many/most casual players simply don't bother. I, like many others, have moved to Merge and you can expect to see the same core of players day after day, table after table. Slim pickings now for US players. Not saying its not beatable, just significantly harder. Aside from that, I'm considering live play as an alternative now, although nearest casino is an hour away. Again, PITA.

High players to the flop% as mentioned. Beyond that always tag the fish when you play. That way you will know before you even sit down who the mark is. If you have no notes you will need to play an orbit or two. VPIP and PFR stats come close to their true value really quickly. Just look for a high VPIP (I look for over 30 in full ring games) and a low PFR.
