HMM

at 1 cent is it really even worth wasting your time to win a dollar for 10 hours of play?

Observe the table a while, if you think you play better then players who already playing is a nice table for you to in.

But $0,01/$0,02 is very weak, but everything depends about your bankroll, I prefer play in low limits then micros.

if you can't spot the fish in a table then you are the fish.

1 - follow the masses. If there are 6 open tables but 1 table has 9 waiting players... there is a reason for it ;)
2 - filter the tables on VPIP if you have 50+ there is someone who wants you to take their money. (obv. when you go higher it will not be as easy). But VPIP is a good base line>then look at how many players are post flop(less=TAG/NIT,more=LAG/fish(Just be carefull of the LAGs))
