Look for people calling down light. Watch the hands that you aren't in and see who seems to call, call, call with something like Top pair, crap kicker.

I don't have a HUD, so I can't really tell you in terms of the stat numbers. In general, I would guess a low AF might be as if not more important than high VPIP, though I could be wrong. They work together for your advantage: the high VPIP means they will have sub-optimal cards which will tend to catch mediocre hands, and the low AF means that they will call often with these mediocre hands rather than betting or folding them. You want them calling with their mediocre hands.

Then there are the aggro-fish who will bet with anything. They tend to be obvious after an orbit or two (or less) because they always seem to be involved in half the hands with half their stack.

No problem on finding fishes at micros. They are plenty there swimming.

If you see player always calling and very passive, tag him right away as fish.

Omaha has plenty of fishes who come from Texas and think pocket aces are unbeatable post flop.

Honestly I have been opening up like 18-24 tables and playing a couple orbits in order to spot some non nits. Then closing tables that are nit filled until I'm back at my comfortable table amount with at least one marked player at each. When the fish gets stacked I leave and rinse repeat the process. I envision myself casting a big net in the ocean with hopes of few solid fish caught. But you can do this with no intention of 24 tabling.

True, but you should be carful if you are used to Holdem. In Omaha fishes get lucky a lot.

I would advise not to look for fish, and most improve their game because if you want to progress and then climb limits, now you gotta break the micro limits. Although if you feel that your game is only an advantage only over the fish, then look for people who often make the call, in situations where their hand without prospects, but for this you need a poker software

Most fish meet at micro limits and many SNG tables and tournaments

Most fish meet at micro limits and many SNG tables and tournaments - because there are many beginners playing there. If you find a fish, always make notes so that you can find this player at any time. If you do not have enough notes to find a fish, the best option is to open several tables in the poker room and observe which table you can find weak players and take a place there. Weak players usually come into play and call your raises on any card. It's worth about 5 minutes to watch the table and immediately see who is the fish and who is the shark

At micros I would advise to find exactly fishes. You will not grow rich playing even with fat fishes (if you aren't poor starving african). And you will not learn good poker. Your task is to get as high as possible on the limits. Learn cheaper here. Look for strong regulars or just sit randomly up to NL50 (if you don't consider this as micro).

In poker you long wait a strong hand, study style of play of rivals at your table, and having only waited for a propitious moment, join in a draw and win bank. It something reminds fishing. There too it is necessary to study habits of fish and for hours to wait for a poklevka. Poker players, for whose account it is possible to profit easily, are called fish. The most habitual action of Phish is a stake and the check. Phish seldom raises a rate and at the same time, with a big reluctance dumps even doubtful hands. If the hand has any force, Phish can play it aggressively, and, is much more aggressive, than this hand of that deserves. Excessively aggressive Phish is called "maniac". Excessively passive Phish is an answering machine. Aggressive Phish who besides badly knows not only the advantageous strategy of poker but also governed, the idiot is called. For poker Phish there is no concept – a position. It did not grow to understanding of benefit which the last turn of the course gives. However, it also does not need it. Phish got used to play unprofitable hands. What difference — from what position to play K8o or J-2s? Chances of a prize with such cards even from long loaf – minimum. And here still example. At early stages of tournaments when blaynda around $10/20, Phish, having strong karmanka, joyfully goes oll-in from a position "under a barrel". At best he wins blaynda. In the worst – runs on the monster hand and takes off from a tournament.

The fish has rigid playstyle, the shark does sudden things. Some fish do sudden things for no reason, this is a donkey.

I use HM2. But on nl2 rarely play with the same players, you can play without statistics.

Sure, you rarely see the same players, but after 20 hands you already have a good measure of the most important stats such as VPIP and PFR.
