I have a question on fighting back against the squeeze play.

From what Ive seen, this happens a fair bit mid to later stages in tournaments and a fair bit on cash tables (live, not online).

Standard play if loose player in early position raises, middle position calls and late position shoves then initial raiser and caller folds and late position takes down the pot.

My question is, if you are playing and the squeeze play starts being run, are you better limping in from middle position with a premium hand in order to catch the squeezer when he shoves? I slow play a bit too much and have been trying to remove this from my game, but here i think it makes sense.

Any thoughts???/?

From what I've seen it happens a lot online too!

If you have a squeeze happy guy behind you, then you could begin to punish him by cold calling your premiums. Another way to combat being squeezed is to 3bet first yourself. I'm sure other people will come in on this, but these are the two things I tend to do. Failing that, change position or move table if you can, because having a pita on your left is no fun.

with your premiums make your standard open...you want a flat and a squeeze behind you. tighten your opening range, and widen your playback/defend range if the squeezer is out of line.
