The first and most important lesson that must be learned to start a successful fight against tilt is that there is nothing wrong with stopping and leaving the tables. But many players believe that those who stop the game are mistaken, that they are weak, that they won’t become winners. This may be true in other areas, but not in poker. After a large lost hand or a series of unpleasant hands, you can feel your emotions overwhelming you and the tilt state is approaching. It is at such a moment that you better resort to the help of a break. Learning how to deal with tilt is a real serious problem for many players. And this is a really important issue.

I think the thing we call tilt is different from person to person, also the way of getting out of tilt will be different in each person so we can't be sure when is the right time to leave the table.
Finding the border of tilt in our mind is the most important thing. for example I know people that with loosing a single buy-in will be tilted for a day at least but from the other side there are people that even with 3 or 4 big loss won't be tilted and still play logic and disciplined

I also confirm when I'm on tilt. I fold all my hands the time to regain my senses to make the right decisions. this is the only way I have found to manage my incline. stay in the game while you are in full tilt. it's really a bad idea especially if your opponents realize it.

My biggest weakness is trying to get even on the day. Even if I'm only down $10 or a very small amount it just bothers me to no end. Even though I have gotten much better at stopping a game when I'm behind, this is still something I struggle with.
