I have 63$, villain has around 160$
My hand is Ks Qs
The whole table limps is pot 16
--FLOP -5h 7d Kh
I raise to 5
Villain calls
Seat 3 calls
Seat4 calls
Seat 7 calls
Seat 8 calls
Pot is $46
--Turn is 4c
I raise 20
Everyone folds except except villain
Villaine reraises to 50.
( here am thinking he has a two pair ir just plain bluffing, i had been playing tight aggre)
I CALL
Pot is 136$
--river is Jh
I put remaining chips in allin
He calls and shows 5d 5s

Juat wondering h
If i played this wrong . or how i would improve .or not loose as many chips. I do realize i did not show strength preflop, reason being my low stack... Thanks in advance!

Yes, you played this hand wrong IMO. My understanding is you were out of position and were leading the bets with what is actually a relatively weak hand on that flop, you had only the 9th possible best hand, there were 8 combinations beating your hand at that time (KK, 77, 55, AA, AK, K7, K5, 57). With so many callers you needed to be more cautious. You were out of position so should never lead the betting UNLESS you have top pair with top kicker or the first/second nuts. The only time to bet a hand like KQ on that flop is when you're in position and only if everyone else checked. This was your biggest downfall here IMO. You should've check called all the way to the river.

Good luck at the tables in the future.

EDIT: I am an idiot. There were far more than 5 combinations beating your hand on that flop. 8 hands were beating yours on that flop. (KK, 77, 55, AA, AK, K7, K5, 57).

If you want to not lose so many chips then stop betting so much when you have only the 9th possible best hand on a flop, for starters. Just call and see if you can improve the strength of your hand. :)

Although I wasn't at the table and cannot guess at how big of raise your opponents would call pre-flop.....If you wish to play tight/aggressive you might consider raising pre-flop to thin the number of opponents.

When I play at those levels I'd be raising to $20-$25 pre. The game becomes much easier when u can reduce the amount of opponents you are facing.

I agree with speedbump621 after the flop you want to bet at least the pot preferably pot plus a bit like $18, then you may have got rid of most players except "villain". Now he is not going away, so let him bet you as you only have top pair, and no flush possibility at that point or anything else, your outs are only Kd Kc and 3xQ. and even then, the range of cards you can lose to is huge.

If there is no more betting you could have got away with a small loss but any bet from there on is a fold.

Yeah you played it bad. In a pot like that you want to be very cautious because you have no pre flop action to start to determine hand strength. In these types of pots most tend to play pretty straight forward so, a raise is more than likely a strong hand. I don't play a short stack when I play 1/2 so I never get myself into these type of spots. When I get under $90 I wait till I can straddle and then I shove dark. I know this isn't good strategy but it's fun and if I win get, if not I rebuy.

Played very wrong. The fact that every1 limped means you should have raised. Personally, i think you would have stacked off to 55 even if you did raise. 55 would have called. You bet, he calls, he bets big on turn you shove all-in. Your still a fishy if you can't fold top pair/ top kicker. Don't expect a Top pair to hold up in a 7way pot either. It rarely will
