Whats up people. I'm still kinda angry about this hand but I'm gonna try to get it out. I was just playing in a 1/2NL cash game. It was a fairly aggressive game. I've played in this place before and know what to expect. Here is the hand:
I'm in the big blind holding Ah Ad. It's becomes a family pot cause everybody called. Its my option and I raise to $22. All folded around to the button who calls. The small blind calls. The pot is $78
The flop comes 3d 6s 9c. The small blind checks. I bet $65. The button calls. The small blind raises to $129. I re-raise all in for $253. He ponders for two or three minutes then calls.
He shows pocket 3's for a set. Of course I lost.
Questions:
Did I play this all wrong? Was the re-raise wrong? Did I mess up or is it just poker?
Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice.
I'm still a little hot about it.

Its the game man, its the damn game. I think the shove was definitely correct on that dry board.

i can understand your situation too good. it's really hard fo fold the Aces but in some situations it's better. I think you should consider how to playing AA. That's really difficult, i know.

I don't think you played it bad if he's even a little aggro, shit happens, move on etc.

For you it may be just a game. For him, it's his life.

Lmao

Not really, especially at an aggressive table. Just a bad cooler.

damn there was really nothing u could do there i think...looking back on it i guess u could make a case for just smooth calling his reraise and playing it out from there, but i really dont see any way this could have turned out any different...if it makes u feel any better i lost in a tourny today with AA wen th BB (chip leader) called my UTG raise preflop, flop came 9Q9, and after betting/raising he turns over T9o....i've been cursing about it all day and cant find any solace about it, and it ****ing sucks...i feel ur pain bro

Thanks for all the help. I'm better now. The guy I lost to is fairly aggressive but I've seen him drop a lot of pots with over aggression. Over playing pairs. That sort of stuff. This night he was running really bad. He was on his second buy in. He just got lucky. I will see him again.
Hey fkucdaw0rld
That was a horrible beat in that tourney. Guess we just got to keep moving.
