Whats up everyone. You know down here in Texas it is so illegal to have a poker game where the house takes rake, but I dont care and i am tring to start a cash game at my house to provide a place for people to play and make a little money on the side.

My question what are some essentials that are necessary in order to make the cash game that I have really good without causing problems with the authorities. I do live i a great part of my town with no issues or problems, so that is something I have in my pocket, but I am looking more for specifics that attract players to come and have fun and play poker.

Thanks look forward to your replies.:D

Only charge a seat rental fee and run the game as a card club. Require the players to register, keep it on file. Don't serve alcohol, don't allow any sports betting, don't loan players money, no drugs, no other illegal activities. Have a camera system and make sure it works. Require referrals for new players.

My local club has been running for 7+ years. Raided twice but only casue authorities thought it had ties to local bookmaker. Manager never got more than a misdemeanor for a small fine <$2K. He charges $8 per player for tournament seats and $4/hr for cash games. Tournament buyins range from $32 to $100 (with some add-ons but he takes $0 from add-ons).
