After moving to a new site and a terrible first week, I finished well into the black in January. Graphs and stats below. Some may have read my post about how bad of a cash game player, and although I am still bad I am continuing to improve my game thru this site and the reading of Blackrain's blog and watching some of his videos.

Overall for the month I was up over $100 with 99% of that profit being NL hold 'em FR/6 max games with a handful of Omaha and HU Sng's thrown in the mix. I have still failed terribly at 4NL and will never go back - LOL.

So you lose 3BI at 4NL and decide to move up to 10NL? Doesn't make sense, but whatever. If you still think you're a bad player, then your losses will amount to much more when you're at a higher limit. You shouldn't think that just because you were a winner over only 6k hands that you have that stake figured out. Congrats on the positive month though.

Yeah can't explain it. Was playing $10/$25 at bodog before they switched over to Bovada and doing decent, not great though. Just recently moved over to merge because I did not like the anonymous tables at Bovada. Initially deposited $125 and just couldn't beat the $4NL game. More of it was my bad play and not the opponents.

In my great wisdom (LOL), decided that the players were better at $10NL and just decided to take shots there. I am playing better and winning more. Terrible BR management I know, not a large sample, and I definitely know that I have I do not have this stake figured out. Upon the suggestion of another member I moved from 6max to FR and my winrate has definitely improved. Will continue to grind it out at FR $10NL this month and see how it goes.

Appreciate the congratulatory remarks!

Congrats on the run good and I hope that you continue to study and improve.

BUT the logic that you will do better because you are playing against better players is lol bad. If you can't beat bad calling stations you won't beat good thinking players in the long run.

Also, 6K hands is really a small sample size but it sounds like you realize that.

Anyways keep grinding and good luck in Feburary.

Yeah will never advocate to anyone that players at 10NL are any better than the players at 4NL. And yeah, really small sample I know and just one month of being in the black since the switch. I believe that my improvement has come from the study that I have put into the game and improved focus at the higher limit. Once again appreciate the congrats.
