Hi guys. I play 2nl 9max, table selection A LOT. In the last 14k hands I'm breaking even!! I am very frustrated. Is this a downswing or I play bad? (HM2 shows that I'm a TAG - 41k hands). I've posted my stats and graph. Can you see some leaks or something? I wanted next week to move up to 5nl because I have 30BI but now I don't know what to do. After 14K hands my profit is 0! On the last 14kh my winrate drop down from 22 to 10bb/100! If you can give me some advise! Sorry for bad English, Thank You!

Welcome to the forum.:)

Nice brag;)

14k BE strecthes are standard.

If you consider was having a huge bb/100 early (22 is huge) then is normal to expect gona be down in next K´s hands. 10bb/100 is still very good and stats looks ok.

How many tables are you playing?, when on a BE strech or down usually better to cut some tables, but if have the BR you can try 5nl still, just set a lose-stop and if see things don´t work just move down.

There is a thread for micro cash players on here https://www.cardschat.com/forum/pok...ushers-thread-216047/index20.html#post2031465

We usually hang in there and post trouble hands (there is also the Hand Hstory analisis section to do that.), ask questions or comment on anything about your game, if want to pass by you are welcome

Actualy your stats look good. How the hell are you breakeven? What more can you expect at 2 NL? 90$ is about the right amount you should win there if you play normal ABC poker. You can increase your winrate a little but that comes with experience when you'll find more profitable spots. Do not worry. You will learn how to find profitable spots at higher lvls where the ABC poker brings you only a tiny winrate. But that comes with experience and a lot of learning. For now just keep on ffocusing how to improve your game and go up in lvls with proper BRM.

I broke even last month after 15k hands. Though I thought I played pretty solid I def leaked in a few spots where if those holes were plugged I woulda been profitable. I once read there is no such thing as a downswing just bad play. I forget where I read or heard it. Chances are you have some leaks in your game.

1st count your blessings. i live in the usa and cant play ps anymore. and though i never quit making the rounds , i at least had a choice to play online or go to the poker rooms. 2nd GO PLAY GOLF OR GO BOWLING OR FISHING OR ANYTHING. a break seems like losing income but if you are not winning then there is no income anyway. our pride sometimes tells us we dot need a break but believe me it works.

Same here.

Started out killing one table for 20+ bb/100, then it dropped a bit to around 20 bb/100 when I started multitabling, then I started to learn and try to apply some of that stuff and then my winrate tanked and now is 8 bb/100 :D

So maybe it is not so unusual?

I think you should move up when you are more confident, which incidentally means after you win some $$$ and make your BR deeper ;) win win!

P.S. I only started table selecting after maybe 25k hands... better late than never.

Thank You for Answering. I play 6 tables, no more because I can't play "robot mode". I'm definitely going to try 5nl next week.

Looks like you are doing pretty well. 10bb/100 is pretty good i think . As far as your stats, i use Leakbuster for looking at this kind of stuff. Also posting hands is a great way to learn, and something i wish i had started to do sooner.

Congratulations on your results, BE patches are sucky but it's better than an actual downswing. My usual tactic when moving up is to start by playing less tables of the higher limit (so maybe cut down from 6 to 2) for a few days. Then move up to 6 again but have 3 at the old limit and 3 at the new limit. Then eventually you'll graduate to having all 6 at the new limit. You don't have to do it exactly like this but I find the gradual introduction of higher limit tables more comfortable than just jumping head first into it.

1) You ran above EV when you started.

2) As you move up, sustaining a 10bb/100 WR will become impossible as the games are tougher. Depending on the number of tables you play it may fall down to 2bb/100 or less if you are rakeback grinding.

3) 14k breakeven stretches bother you? Wait till it's 100-200k worth of hands... which again will happen as true winrate goes down.

Prepare... it gets much tougher and 14k hands is a drop in the bucket.

In fact, your entire 41k hand sample size is not even remotely close enough to plug into an equation and prove that you are in fact a winning player! Keep grinding sir... after a couple hundred K hands you'll be able to narrow your true WR down to something +/- 8bb/100 heh. Right now you are in variance city and can't really determine anything.

Because the rake is killing him at this level. Moving up should help.
I was about to post the same thing. The rake is an absolute killer at microstakes games right now.

Actually at pokerstars the rake at micros is far lower.

Also your turn c-bet is a little low, you might be missing bets for value on some turns.
