Hero 4 bets with AJ vs utg, 2nd seat and lm limpers. Last player folds. Board is 664. Hero checks and checks again when a 7 hits the turn. River is a 5. Utg bets 8 bbs. Call and fold. Should the flop be bet strongly? I think so now.

Yes, you need to bet that flop. Nobody calls a four-bet from utg with a 4 or a 6. Continuing is a must. When you check back this flop, he knows the he is probably ahead of you with AK or AQ. This is a great spot for a c-bet.

Wouldn't have been too good if one of the villains was on an open ender or held a small pair. That's exactly what happened. They both held those hands. One might have mucked on the flop but both? Unlikely.
