Again, the title says it all. Sorry for multiple posting, just figure those are two different issues.

Yes, I play 10nl and have recently started using it and find it quite sexy.

Check raise

I think that it works better in a micro situation than in the higher limit games. Most player with experience will have a red flag pop up in their head when a player who raised checks to them after the flop.Same thing goes for a player who limped in early position and is now checking at a board that has alot of texture to it.Keep em guessing!

Situations where we should c-r as bluffs:

1. OOP on dry flops (like T42r) vs. PFR who c-bets too much with any hand that has something like 20% equity vs. his continuing range (overcards, BD FD, gutshots, etc.).
2. on the Turn with backdoor flush/combo draws when either a scare card hits or against a decent player who understands what the turn C-R represents.

Also I'm starting to like the idea of check-raising as PFR vs. people who float too much or robotically bet when checked to. Also, check-raise KK+ in 3-bet pots from the blinds.

I am not comfortable enough with it to do it as a bluff, but very good food for thought.

The idea is to do this against weak ranges (i.e. loose button raiser) when they likely cannot have top pair + or a draw strong enough to continue very often.

When they do continue (and not 3-bet flop) they will likely have weak 1-pair holdings (i.e. 77-99, JT on T42 flop) that we have at least 6 outs to beat.

oh, good point, it would be when you know they are c betting because they are following through on a whiffed flop. right?
