basically Im gonna Watch some online high stakes games and take notes look for any weaknesses and see if I can come up with a strategy use against that player and whether or not the regs are picking up on certain spots and making a profit from anything I have noted

just wanna get me thinking about hand ranges and what sort of spots you would be avoiding at this table i.e where would be the best spots to be free betting and semi bluffing.

alo it gives you the added benifit of more observation so I cansee if I can spot a clear difference beetween betting ranges IP and OOP.
and pick up on what players are exploting people with pre flop aggression and post flop who has the most to offer

I know its not the same as seeing whole cards, but for us online players I think its constructive, to practice putting good players on a hand ranges and looking to exploit weakness.
best of all its free so you can take on board all this information and how other players respond to these exploits whether not they pick up pots,
without risking 300 dollers or more?

High stakes players are a very different breed, than the rest of us players. I also think that the whole live dynamic in comparison to internet is alot different as well. I'm sure it can be effective, but to what level I have no idea.

My thoughts exactly watching online guys is more useful for online gaming than live games,

I mean given the fact we would be practising exploiting players and working out strategy's to counter act individual players It can surely be a positive,
it's designed to train yourself to think like a top player, and learn to recognise advanced exploitive plays and also learning to recognise more positions in which you can make and retain profits

the aim for me is to be able to exploit players like second nature and get to the point where I'm comfortable enough to play almost any hand in the right spots
against a weaker opponnant, just keep going until all areas are at an advanced stage

the main issue i see is when watching online your not seeing the cards dealt except at showdown, so how will you know what the exploitable weaknesses are?

also each game has its own merit, i have joined 2c 4c tables, raised 15x and expected to get 2 callers, and at other times i have raised frequently (at the same stakes because the players were just playing too tight

on another note, the high stakes players will use advanced tactics but it only works because its against certain opponents,
so for instance, you raise it up on a high stakes games you may watch em re raise with 7 2s if the opponent is loose enough and it works because they dont expect a call
however in low stakes, if you tried the same thing they overestimate the power of there hands, ive had a guy float on a board with queen high, and tie himself to the pot because he has hit the 2 on the turn (thats his kicker)

I guess the bottom line is you can only play the table and yes granted some of the stuff going on you wont find in 100NL and below.

but If you put yourself in one selected heroes shoes, and just practice trying to read his hand and if hes abnormally doing something,
we may be lucky and see some good information also

Just watched 45 mins or so I would reccommend it actually,

I found because Im not thinking about my cards im fully focused on watching the other players almost like extra intuition from being blinded.

I picked up on quite a few things, Knowing one player was solid and optimal was almost certainly open raising alot of hands in position, and wa getting free bet alot by the players to her immediate right,
So I noted this - as exploitable
we then had another player from 4 off the initiall raiser 4 betting light and calling the immediate 3 bets from this opponant re raising our solid optimal villain -
and twice he took down the pot one was showdowned and freebet villain was holding 4-7 suited
the second one he check folded the flop after his failed freebet.

I guess the moral of the story is even at 1000NL there are exploitable spots,
if you can work out what the action is and the reasoning behind A 3-bet or even a 4-bet.

I feel this was done a few nights a week it would help some playters become more exploit conscience in there given games to be familiar with making adjustments rather than worrying what hand you hold, etc

Personally id say to watch training videos.. There are alot of good sites out there that have videos of people who video a session they play and walk you through their thougt process to really help you understand the way to play.. Trying to learn about high stakes is kinda backwards if your gunna be playing low stakes
