Does anyone else here show better results at a higher buy-in than they do a lower one.

For example Im showing a profit and stats look much better at .10/.25 than they do at .05/.10 cash table.

I think part of the reason is at the higher game I give more credit to the players and their hands and dont try to make moves. I always think for some reason i can get a person off a marginal hand at the lower stakes. Plus when I play the bigger table Im usually just one tabeling it. Unlike the .05/.10 table where i might play anywhere from 2 to 4 tables.

Anyways, just wondering if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

Thanks

It happens sometimes becoz there is the misconception at lower tables that becoz its not much money what is on stake that they allow themselves to chase or look for his cards when they are not suppose to. Many times you get badbeat becoz of that even if you played well the hand. It happens but if you are constant on playing well u can win even at lower stake tables

The strategy you described at .10/.25 is pretty much how to beat the micro-stakes. Stick to it and you should see results improve across the board.

The reason why you see this is already mentioned in your post. If you play only 1 table -> you are playing better and your winrate is higher.

4 tabling 10NL and showing a profit is not hard, but you don't have to try to make people laydown hands. It's not going to happen often enough. Catching bluffs is also very losing strategy. Just value bet aggressively and don't get fancy.

I am sure that you will have even better stats on 10NL if you play only 1 table

This is very interesting because ive never really went up in stakes but i have wondered if this would be the case. I am not used to losing at poker ive played at multiple sites i started at Cake and deposited $20 and i never had a losing streek over 2 weeks, but then i cashed it out ive had success at pokerstars as well, but i finally moved to Full Tilt because ive always thought it was the nicest site and i have never won at cash game. I can't think of any explanation and one day i realizedit seemed like a lot of money was being raked from my hands im not sure if it is more than pokerstars or the other tournaments, but i know Stars takes much less on low level sit n gos so it could posibly be the same for cash. My point is that if you play at the higher levels the rake will be less compared to the pot because there is a 3 dollar cap so this could contribute.

whats the sample size? thats one of the most important things.
Also rake can be a killer at the real micro stakes.
