Hello everyone,

Due to my being a USA Player I don't have a lot of options regarding Poker Rooms.

I have only been seriously playing and studying for a Month now AND I realize that is not a ton of hands even with playing everyday but I have noticed an EXTREME difference between Bovada and America's Cardroom.

I am playing 5Nl Micro Stakes, 6 Max Cash Ring Games

I am in Profit 12.93/bb100 at America's Cardroom.

Bovada I am at a loss of of -12.76/bb100 at 5NL

and Profit of 2.61/100bb at 5NL ZONE (6 Max Cash Fast)

(This last 7 days really smashed my Bovada earnings down but at ACR I have been running at less of a crazy Variance)

I have Holdem Mgr. for America's Cardroom and Bovada Card Catcher HUD for Bovada. (The Bovada HUD only registers Player info. for the session they are playing with me. When the player leaves all info. is gone)

This Variance for regular 5NL seems to be running at Polar opposites for the two different sites.

I am not one for "Rigged" or "Conspiracy Theories" but would like to know if anyone else has or does experience this on a consistant basis? When playing on different sites?

Once again, I do not have a lot of hands under my belt even though I play everyday AND I review all of my Sessions. My Grades with LeakBuster are running between A through -B

Regards,

Gypsy

Naaawww, you are just experiencing variance none the less and I am curious of what your sample size is.

It's around 4,000 which is low.

I am only playing 1 Table until I feel solid enough as a Player to expand to multi table. Expanding too early would only incur losses twice as fast while I am learning. That's my philosophy for now.

Also, just for now, I stop playing when I am down 2 BB's and stop when I am up 1 BB. (this is not forever, I just need some sort of simple bankroll mgt. structure. I know a lot of people think you should keep playing when you are Winning but this is what is most comfortable for me now and gives me a sense of control.)

Today was a really good day on Bovada and I really thank you for saying its just Variance.

Micro 5NL is very differant on Bovada than ACR. On Bovada you just see some of the worst of the worst AGGROfish jamming insanity. I am not complaining! It's actually been great until this last Week which has been kind of Card Dead and not connecting.

On ACR you see these Whales but on Bovada I am often at Tables with 50% of the Tables(at least) filled with these guys!:);)

Also, I forgot to deduct at least 5 days due to being very ill and thrashed with the pain meds! My bad.

I tend to be super critical of myself and get hyper focused on reviewing hands and trying to find out where I could have made or saved more and what I played incorrectly. I have discovered that so many times when I think that I have suffered a "suck out" there were warning signs in place that I should have folded my strong hand earlier.

I don't want to expand tables until I feel that many of these basics are second nature to me and that I can quickly and efficiently process the learned knowledge as well as the HUD stats.

Thanks again IP!

Bovada at the micros reminds me of live 200nl on a friday night with a bunch of drunk people. I would be willing to guess you're simply running into the higher variance of playing in this type of field.

I agree w/ this. The playerpool on Bovada is quite bad.

I've always seem to run better on Carbon than I do on WPN, myself. I've of course always chalked that up to a simple coincidence, but it is annoying, lol.

it seems to me the micro nlh full ring games on bovada are tougher than the small nlh ring games . I guess the tiny players are just learning , so all they know is ABC super tight .

+12bb/100 on one site, -12 on the other. Average to break even. Sounds about right. Play 100,000 hands and see where it lands.
