I am making this tread so others out there can recognize there problems at the table and if they have a "gambling Problem" which i do.

One of the hardest lessons i have learned about playing Poker is having the strength to get up off that table and walk away. To sum it up to basically call it a day and go home and take a break. I have learned that chasing a loss can and more then likely will end up losing even more money. If you are a poker player who stays in a casino for more than 8 hours a day and ends up continuously gambling and even worst, rebuying then you probably have a problem. Remember poker is a game of patience. That means off the felt and on the felt. The casinos aren't going any where. There is always tomorrow or the next week. My biggest losing days come from either when i rebuy or when i find myself going on gambling binges. Playing poker for 20 hours straight or more.

Here is my description of a Poker Player.
Has a set time and date of when he plays.
Has a game plan and does not deviate ftom it
Does not play continuously for 20 hours or more
Never plays mentally or physically fatigued

My description of a degenerate gambler
Plays any limit any game
Will play until losing all of his money.
Goes back and forth to the atm
Can't leave the table even though his conscience knows it's the right thing to do.

Any way here are my stats on 3/6 limit and 2/4 limit. Only about 5 or 6 sessions at 2/4.

Since the start of the year after all of these hours im at -438$...... 2/4 is such a drain....i seriously have a problem with continuously rebuying too...i won't stop.

I'm pretty damn sure you'll do better with that knowledge. I went thru the same swing. After limiting my play to what I can handle *and sticking to it* I am now up almost 2K, for all-time.

Can I advise, like breaking any bad habit, at first you have to really force yourself to leave, but after a few sessions it'll just feel wrong to sit for too long. When you're struggling to get up from the table, imagine for a second what your smarter self would be saying to you right then. That works for me, anyway.

I love your hand drawn graphs lol. I think that's fantastic. I could use a computer, but I'd value them more if I wrote it by hand. None-the-less I am a degenerate gambler. Part of my self made program was to for e myself to participate in this chat room lol to get freerolls because I busted bad a few times, and cant afford a rebuy for literally 3 months. That's when I realized I have an issue. Before when I set a plan, and kept it I did amazing. Now I'm an ass chasing straights with 6,8 offsuit seeing if I can tripple barrel bluff my villian off the pot if I miss full well knowing that I open raise in early position way to much, or call with weaker hands hoping to improve.

Im in the same boat and i feel like shit. Im so sick and tired and disappointed in myself. My enture roll gone in a tilt session or a few bad sessions. I average a BI of 140$ a day to play 3/6 limit. I know damn well the best thing to do is call it a day if i lose my BI......so what does my degenerate ass do.......REBUY and start chasing in kill pots with nothing. Trying to bluff knowing damn well they aren't folding. And what do i do after that. Hop on a 4/8 table and just get hammered!! It's so sad and sick. I know damn well if id had gone home and slept and relaxed id been back to prime shape the next day. Now Im out a thousand dollars...
Can't BI for a while. That is the key to winning in this game. Balance, discipline, having a game plan and goal and actually sticking to it....something that is hard to do.

There is no reason under the sun to be losing 540$ in one night on 3/6. My losses are huge, 300, 540, 360, 200 etc. If i stick to the 140 im literally GOLDEN.

I play 1/2NL. I leave the house with $200 in my pocket and I never take my ATM card with me. Just sayin'. If it's physically impossible for me to re-buy, I can't make that mistake. And cuz I know this, it forces me to be smarter about the game.

Those players who you call degenerate poker players I love to call them fishers. Every player has his own way to play. We can't all like their play but we can't do anything about it. Everyone has right to play on the way he wants.

I played 3/6 last month and caught every flop under the sun. Left with $285 after 3 hours. Played the other day for two hours and got pairs 6 times; AA (cracked), KK, QQ, TT, 88, 44. Kings, tens and fours I hit trips on all of them and lost every one then. AA got cracked for $100 promotion. QQ I won a small pot and 88 I folded on a very wet board. Even had AK for two pair and lost. No wonder no body plays 3/6.

Don't waste your time on it man....trust me. I don't care how goid you are. In the long run nobody beats 3/6 plain and simple. Id say at best a person can mak 5$ an hour and that's playing very consistent and playing your A game day in day out. Im done with it. Back to NL 1-2. You are never going to beat 3/6 long term. I've had days where i ran a BI too 400. Other days i just run bad forever. It's justan absokute wadte of time and money. Im so happy im done with t6is 3/6 bs.
