Hey guys just a question is to ask what 2 days would you remove from your playing schedule and why.

Or

What days have you cancelled from playing poker and why?

Thanks for the feedback

I think 10-15 hours a week of poker is optimal. If you play 2-3 hours each night after work for 5 nights a week, you'll get a decent amount of volume in from that.

I tend to play at least 4 hours a day on weekends and 1 or 2 hours on nights I have a lot of work to do.

I don't have an exact schedule because I don't work a standard 9-5 job. I'm just a uni student who works a casual job with varying shift hours, so I play poker whenever I'm free and whenever I am in the mood (usually late at night, like after midnight, but sometimes I mix things up with a daytime poker sesh).

What days to play

Get an App to track your poker wins and losses by not only days of the week but also time of day, casino played at, stakes, games played etc. The app I use provides reports and graphs. Then you can make an intelligent decision based on your own experiences and not someone else's. The one I use offered a free version that I used for almost a year before I upgraded to the full version. Btw you can use it for both online, live casinos and home games.

Whats the app?

I found my bad pattern.

3 days good winning rate.
1 great day
1 overdoing it day.
next couple days burnt out poker where its just downwards.
took a break 1-2days
3days good winning rate
1 great day
1 day overdoing it again.
Then burnt out poker.

I'm excited now :)

I can set limits now and see if it changes which I predict it will.... And at the very worst it'll minimize my losses. And at the best it'll make me a successful player heading towards hopes and dreams.

the key: multitabling?

I think 10-15 hours a week of poker is optimal. If you play 2-3 hours each night after work for 5 nights a week, you'll get a decent amount of volume in from that.

i think multitabling is the way to go when having limited time. maybe even go down in level to keep playing your a game, if volume is your concern. and of course, zoom ;)

I'm probably around 10 hours right now, maybe 3-4 on Sundays and then 2-3 hours 2-3 nights a week.

I've just got a lot of other stuff I'm splitting time on unfortunately, it'll be closer to <2 hours this summer :(

I am back to poker after some time (years) without playing because college/work. Then I still dont have a regular schedule to play, but I try to play everyday (freerolls and/or lowest limits). But if I am tired or not in a good day/mood, I just avoid to play.

It all depends on whether you are lucky or not

It all depends on whether you are lucky or not. Recently, a couple of days I was winning, and the next day I lost 3 hands on a very good card:
1. The first hand, I have AK and the opponent has AA, flop A Q 2. I put all-in and lost the whole stack.
2. The second hand, I have TT and the opponent has A9. Flop Q 8 6, the river opens A and I again lose the whole stack.
3. The third hand, I have AK and the opponent has TT, on the flop 7 K 2, on the river he dropped a flush, and again I lost the whole stack.
After that I decided to take a break for a few days, I hope this bad luck will pass. So here you yourself have to see if today's lucky day or not. Good luck to you.
