started off well this afternoon I bought into a $16.50 tournament on pokerstars, finished 7th from 286. 1 place ahead of charlotte van brabander (team pro) and a few other top heavy regs

I then went on my wreckless quest to Restore my bankroll as quick as possible completely skipped 50NL and played 50c-$1.00 I thought what the hell if i have a winning session im goin to be looking at $300.00 and can then break and try and push for 500 then drop down to 50NL
(I should of just stuck too 10c as advised!!

I made a couple of wreckless plays had been playing solid and tight. I then had a decent read on a hand in a big pot, put him on medium pocket pair 3 over cards on board, so i pushed all in on the river, was a good call in all fairness pocket 8's for almost all of his stack $180.00 .

So I was pretty sick after 5 hours grinding in a tournament it was all but gone... I Bought into a 60 doller sit n go and didn't cash 11 dollers left and the rest was history! I am cream crackered my friends!

Sounds about right.

Easy come easy go eh. Keep the faith mon frère. Try to manage your roll a little better tho as you contribute to the poker economy.

Are you more a cash player or a tournament player? I'm guessing tourney.

After 3 years of playing i came to the conclusion that a decent bankroll must be at least 100 buy-ins. I felt it on my skin. But hey that is how you learn patience. Now it is is easy like walk in the park to drop down a lvl if i get scared of several buy-ins drop.

I've been saying this for a while, being a nit BR wise frees you up to play some poker. 100 BIs? Sure why not. I never go below 60 myself. It's the best way.

I'm specifically not talking about shot taking here, just grinding your normal game.

I'd prefer to not play at all than have to 'be careful' cos I've only got 15 BIs or whatever.

Dunning im maybe better suited to tourney as my A game drifts In cash
If things aren't going my way having said that if the stakes are lower
As advised, I may find success long term as the swings and coolers wont
Be felt so much.
Its just so easy to jump into a tournament I find it hard to stick to cash a whole day.

Question guys.. how much could you realisicly make playing 10c in a month?

$100-$200 on average is possible. IF you're good that is :)

It depends on how many hands you put in per month and your win rate.

So let's say your win rate is on average 5bbs/100hands (not a bad WR). 5bbs = 50c at 10NL. So every 1 thousand hands you'd be winning $5.

Now you can work out how many thousand hands per month to put in to make your $x/month.

$200 = 40k hands.

Of course, these are just numbers, and may not reflect anything real ever :D

I only put this out there to give you an idea.

expect 400?
Also, expect nothing, but hope for the best.

Well it depends how much time you've got to put into it really. Like Cafeman said to make $200 you'd need 40k hands with a decent 5bb/100 winrate. Playing 6 tables for 2-3 hours per day would probs give you 30-40K hands in a month. Basically you're unlikely to make more than $2-3 per hour playing 10nl so don't expect to get rich :)
