Just wondering if it was correct to call for the odds or it wasn't.??
Yes I pushed and I would do it again since it only gives him 2:1 to call.
Yet no matter what people will still always have that hard-on for the 36% chance to hit :)

O.K. I'll have a go at this (first time I've tried this and I'm hungover so lets see where this ends up. lol).

Flop :3h4: :8c4: :jh4:
you :js4: :10s4: 53.8% chance to win
Him :kh4: :9h4: 46.2% chance to win
there are 3885 chips in the pot and it is going to cost him 2685 chips to call.
I'd say its a borderline call, he's getting 1.4 / 1 on his money and he needs 1.1 / 1 every time he makes this bet to break even.
so I'd say yes he is getting the odds to make the call.
How'd I do?
Rocka.

Ty.. Couldn't crunch the #'s in my head quick enough to make a precise decision. I knew if I re-raised anyway it would more then give him justification to call. So my only 3 options from here would be to call, fold or push... Calling would more then give him enough justification for the semi-bluff at the flush. I allready had noted him as a flush card player. Done it previously a few other times.

Ty again.

I think pushing here was incorrect , based on the fact this is a tournament, and we are here to play and win, this was the best play for him ( the strength of the flush is so high, that with top pair, you had a weak hand ) . I would take the same shot he did anytime, doubling up gives space for better play :) . Dont mean to critizice, but thats my opinion on it, a tighter player would most likely fold, but an aggressive player is going to call like if doomsday was tomorrow ...!

Ohhh he did stop and think for awhile on the call though. That much it did do.
He didn't instantly hit the call button, it did take him a bit to do that. So my push also did what it intended it to do, put pressure on him. I had position along with the possibility that I may have the Nut Flush.

Not even close. Remember not to use a poker odds calculator for this, because we want to know his chances of winning on the turn, not the river. (The river is a whole 'nother play)

Good point for most situations, but actually when a player is all in you should calculate the odds adding up the turn and the river, because there aren´t more betting rounds.

I realised that right after I posted. Ignore what I said, he actually is getting odds to call.
