Early Position: (in a 10 players ring, the first 3 players to act. May not exist when playing short-handed)
1. 1010-AA
2. AK suited or unsuited
3. AQ suited

Middle Position: (in a 10 players ring, first four players to the right of the button)
1. 88-AA
2.AJ (suited or unsuited) or Better
3.KQ suited or unsuited.

Late Position: (button to the big blind)
1. 88-AA
2. Any 2 Face-Cards
3. A10 suited or unsuited.
4. Suited Connectors 910 or Better
5. A2-A5 suited

I only play fixed-limit and I would go in with these hands from the correct position no matter what. Three people can be raising and I'll go in hoping to catch the best hand. It's fixed-limit remember. You can only lose a certain amount.

I know my positioning changed from everyone else, but I like this setup and it's my version. It have kept me from getting into trouble.

Unraised "Small Blind" (hopefully the "Big Blind" checks or I'll fold)
1. 22-AA
2. Any two 10-Value Cards
3. Suited Connectors 45 or Better
4. Suited 1-Gappers 46 or Better

Unraised "Big Blind"
1. Any 2 Cards (wish me luck on flopping quads or a full house)

Pre-Flop Raising Hand (from any position)
1. AA (I will cap the bet if my opponent kept of reraising. I do have the best hand pre-flop)
2. KK
3. QQ
4. AK suited or unsuited.

I would never (at least I tried) play cards out of position in a cash game. AQ offsuited UTG is an easy fold for me. I know Post Flop is a whole different Animal. Let me know if I'm playing too tight or too loose. How can I improve?

I guess you can play a bit wider range in EP3 as you could do in EP1 the same for MP3 and MP1.

AQ suited or not needs to be folded in EP all the time its a terrible hand that should only be played in position....as for Ace Rag suited or not anything below ATsuited should not be played outside of the blinds in a full ring game..... in a tournament well thats diff but cash games fold A2-A9 suited everytime... LIMIT SUCKS LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME OF THE FUTURE NO-LIMIT TRUST ME OLD MAN LEARN TO PLAY NO LIM IT

^has to be a level. smh. AQs terrible starting hand, and btw, NLHE has been around for quite some time, Zynga however does seem to be the game of the immediate future, but idk

OP hand selection looks reasonable for FR; welcome to CC! What limits are you playing?:)

AQ just potentially cost me $900 I was getting down to the FT in a $20 buy in when AQ vs 10 10 put me out. I knew it was a mistake when I called. I do not know what I was thinking. I called against chip leader the only person that could eliminate me . I really pulled a stupid move there. The only hand I should of been playing against him was AA that close to the FT and me in second place. What a moronic move that was I could have easily made FT and moved up the money ladder.

AQs vs. aggro chipleader for chance to be massive chip leader sounds like a decent gamble to me.

If he had AJ or you won the flip would you be getting so annoyed? Sounds like your being result orientated to me.

Why play lotto in one hand

The magic word GAMBLE I try to take the gambling out of my game. I know that at times you have to gamble but not against the only guy in the tourney that can put you out. especially after playing for 3 hours to get in the position you are in. to give him all the chips you earned and I do mean earned is just stupid.:)

Calicard what has this to do with comments on his hand selection?

I guess it is always better to fold in this situation if you are 2nd in chips.
Think you can gain a lot more by winning pots without showdown against other players that are just folding to move up a spot.

Cash game had KK in MP shoved 7X BB called by SB (all in) with A7o, flopped A and won hand. If cards were face up would I make same decision? HELL YES! every time.

AQ vs chip leader HU not bad call. Change early to KK, AA, unless want to try to steal with those other hands or on a weak passive table. Your blinds are weak cause you are OP rest of hand. PLAY THE PLAYERS not the cards.
