Just wondering is it actually plausible to do this.. just playing a live game last night for at least 2 hours almost I only played maybe 4-5 hands I was literally card dead had nothing great.. hands like 3-7, 10 2, 2-9 are nothing to go on about and even when I get a highcard which is great but what puts me off playing them is my kicker.. I mean the lowest I'l go is maybe 8-10 at a full table in lp. but yet I saw on a few occasions people managed to limp in with highcard - rag quite a bit....

Now shoudl I just stick to playing tight and simply take it as I just musta had a cold game with cold cards or should I open my range a bit? I dunno when it gets to 6 or less I can open it up no prob with a full table I always get worried someone has a better hand that I do regardless if I hit my k or not ya know..

If you are playing really tight, then consider position betting from the button. Or if you are getting pushed around by an aggressive player, take a risk with in position and push back. Don't limp with crap, if you are going to play represent a bigger hand and raise with it.

Better to play connected cards than hi/rag imho.

10-8 is not highcard rag. And if you are considering opening up your game past 10-8o then you are already way too loose. Don't try it.

If you aren't a little bored while playing poker... you're not doing it right ;)

I've had quite a bit of success with highcard rags in lp.. I never attempt to unless everyones folded before me. Even in SB, BB if I grab the highest pair on the board with a moderate kicker... if no ones raised I find I take the pot more often than not..

but this is on micros so. maybe a different story once I move up
